Iranian UAVs | News and Discussions

Russia is still relying on the SHAED-136 a year and three months after the war began.
It seems that Russia is further behind in drone technology than we thought, and they really want more of the other Iranian drones.
Still, Iran is not selling other drones because it doubts that Russia is really going to deliver the Su-35.
If Russia would stop being so humble to the US and deliver the Su-35 to Iran, it would lead to the next round of negotiations.

Well you've said that you don't want Iran to be a 1st world country. Why not ? Why do you have an inferiority complex ?

This month there have been more Lancet strikes than ever before. A few days ago more than half a dozen videos were released

Ukrainians are also using drones. In this video, after the Ukrainian drone spots the targets, their GPS guided artillery does the rest.

Germany is supplying Ukraine with these type of drones. The UK will also be giving Ukraine kamikaze drones with double the range of HIMARS. Not sure if that refers to the missiles given to Ukraine with 80 KM range or the max 300 KM range. Either way they don't stack up against Shaheds with a range of 800-1200 KM.

Why do you love Ukraine but hate Iran so much?

Iran must broke any deal with Russia if it fails to honour S-35 warplanes. There must be timetable or deadline for deliveries. Iran must be serious, Russia has all the world agains them, must learn to cumply deals with Iran.

Why are you assuming Russia will break the contract?. Any hint in official or related to government media?. They can do it, but if they do, they will be pariah forever. The CAATSA sanctions are depriving Russian top industries some key exports, so if Russian doesn´t deliver Iran they will more than probably will never any foreign client/customer.
I know (and agree with you) Russia broke many contracts, programs or letter of intentions, but now it is completely different. Their Military industry is under hard CAATSA sanctions and will never recover until demonic dollar/SWIFT system it is obliterated by ancients civilizations (BRICS countries plus Iran and others). So if they doesn´t fullfill their contract surely they will never export any Su35 to anybody.

The Su-35 story that was supposed to be delivered this week has gone away, as expected.
This is not surprising, as it has happened many times before.
Russia can't stop trying to curry favor with the US no matter how much it is attacked by the West.
It was less than a week ago, just wait and hope, i don't know if was supposed to be "next week" or "next weeks"

I don't understand Russia at this point, there should be pressure applied by not supplying them any weapons if nothing is delivered within time

Even in spite of a war where their enemies are clearly working together, they still feel they can play Iran as a bargaining chip.

"We don't deliver Su-35's if only you give us this......"

Then Iran has to punch on the table.

Who is supplying them the most? North Korea? or Iran?

They are getting tons of ATGM and drones that helped them destroy critical infrastructures and made the west coping with it, at this point Iran wouldn't have to pay for Su-35. I really hope Iran at least made them pay for drones, because if not this would be an humiliation.

What do they want? Ballistic missiles? Then if they want BMs, ask for more Su-35 or S-500, Ka-52 and radars. Iran is trusting Russia too much, this isn't charity with the drones and missiles, not like Iran had prior something against Ukraine historically, this isn't like Armenia and Turkey.

Stop it folks. All this conversation is based on air. Nobody knows what is happening or what will happen.

You simply cannot trust Russia, Russia is strange is like 2 forces want to govern that country in different address... Russia needs to keep out of incompetence, malign influences and get rid of this appalling diplomacy they have, very well stated by @glablo

Anyways, it s a problem of Russia and for russians, Iran must assure any ties they have with any external country (not part of its sphere of influence or backyard) makes benefit for them. This benefits must be tangible, and in this case warplanes must be in Iran, the sooner the better, any month passed this warplanes has less value.

A must for Iran is to convert Karrar into something like TU-300U Korshun.

Karrar is driven from Tu-143/MQM-107E (Shahi acquired) and Tu-300U Korshun is a derivative of Tu-143. There are even cries in Russia to use them against Ukraine.

https://eurasiantimes.com/russia-to-deploy-the-iconic-tu-300-korshun-u/

Its much larger than Karrar, flies at 0.9 Mach with a payload of 1000 Kg and can accommodate missiles, PGMs, and E-warfare payload in internal bays. It can easily become a wingmen in IRIAF/IRGCF as well as it can accomodate SAIRAN made radar (Kowsar's PD-FCR), duplex datalink, ECM etc.

But then again, Iran would not be Iran if it does not waste money on running parallel ego projects yielding similar things like in case of Kaman-22, Shahed-129, Shahed-149, and Fotros.

Russian army launched Shahed drones at Merefa and Izyum towns of Kharkiv region overnight

In the city of Dnipro, Ukraine claims to have shot down 23 Shahed drones, 10 KH-101 cruise missiles & 2 Orlan-10 reconnaissance drones

Dnipro 23 Shahed 10 KH101 shot down UKR.jpg

However missiles or drones appear to have struck a hospital in Dnipro city. This is the end result.

It's likely that a large number of Ukrainian soldiers, or high ranking officers were being treated in that hospital. Either that or this could have been caused by debris from a Russian missile or Ukrainian air defense missile that hit the wrong target ? Who knows...

Ukraine’s interception rates are obscene… Routinely claiming 100% destruction of incoming munitions, of all types, is ridiculous.

The Khinzal interceptions are the funniest.
