Iranian UAVs | News and Discussions

Why do you keep repeating the same nonsense over & over again ? I get the impression that you're still in your adolescence.

Why do you love Ukraine and hate Iran so much? Just trying to be a friend. 😃

Very interesting. According to the Russian mapper Rybar, Ukraine purchased Iranian Kaman-22 drones via Taiwan, through a front company. They are now using them, alongside Bayraktar UAVs, to conduct reconnaissance in the Zaporizhia region before their upcoming counter offensive.

To the north of Zaporozhye , the Bayraktar UAV operates from the Dolgintsevo airfield. According to some reports, the Armed Forces of Ukraine still use the Iranian-made Kaman-22 drone, purchased by Taiwan through a front company, for reconnaissance.

What nonsense

Iran has probably gathered a huge amount of data from the Ukraine war and the Russian use of Iranian drones.

I'm interested to see how Iran utilizes that data. Would they improve existing designs fix flaws they found? Or build brand new ones from a clean slate to fit the various scenarios that the Russians ended up using the drones in.

What are the Russian mapper source? I highly doubt Iran has sent Kaman-22 to the black market or through it, Kaman-22 is not even produced in numbers for Iran and is one of the latest state-of-art drone of Iran, why the hell they would send this through Taiwan, which is not a friendly country with Iran and risking massive backfire by allowing Iran to make phantom companies to sell weapons through there, to Ukraine?

Where are the pictures? Kaman is a big drone, Russia has potent anti-drone weaponry, if Ukraine use them already, we would have plenty of pictures of it
I remind that the Ukrainians loves to take pictures of everything they have or boast about everything via photos and tiktok/telegrams, including videos of them beheading soldiers and practicing cannibalism, they post numerous pictures of their weapons such as ATGM firing, drone launching, firing with a Maxim cowboy era gun, showcasing their western weapons on the field. Where is Kaman, a MALE UCAV with 6 pylons capable of carrying 200km range cruise missiles and jammers, EW?

It is a massive MALE drone with 6 pylons and one of the newest drones of Iran, Iran would send them to Ukraine so that USA and everyone in the west studies it and makes it unusable for Iran in a conflict?

According to the Rybar:

At night, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a massive air strike on the facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of Ukraine . Several dozen Geran UAVs and strategic aviation were involved.

Targets were hit in Kiev , Odessa , Kramatorsk and Slavyansk , as well as Vinnitsa , Chernihiv and Zhytomyr regions

Ukrainians are claiming to have shot down 35 Shahed drones over Kiev. There doesn't seem to be sufficient evidence to corroborate such claims.

Just a question i realized i don't know the answer to. What engine did Iran find in the captured RQ-170 drone, did they ever release that info (wiki says it's either a TFE731 or TF34)? Also, did they managed to recover the engine from the RQ-4? Are there efforts to reverse engineer either or both engines?

for drone based RQ-170 we use an aft-fan turbo fan engine called tolue-14
about rq-4 the the prize was the sensor and the package it caried not engine also the missile exploded beside its engine I doubt the engine survived that

Russian's produce a new drone, the Privet-82
Very interesting. This drone are supposed to be deployed to Ukraine in the next few weeks
It has a range of 30 KM
can travel up to 140 KM/HR
has a payload of 5.5 KG or 12 LBS
It's very nimble & allegedly costs as much as a washing machine
It's components are relatively cheap, lightweight & mostly sourced from Russia itself to offset western sanctions

Shahed-136 drones were used today to strike targets in western Ukraine

According to Rybar:

Massive missile attack of the Russian Armed Forces on the objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the night of May 12-13, 2023

On the night of May 12-13, the Russian Armed Forces launched a massive missile attack on enemy targets throughout Ukraine. Basically, UAVs "Geran" were used.

The first explosions were heard in Kramatorsk and Slavyansk a little after midnight. In the occupied capital of Zaporozhye and Nikolaev, explosions thundered in the first hour of the night.

After there were several explosions in the Solomensky district of Kiev . Whether this was the result of an air defense operation or whether individual targets were actually hit is currently unknown. Local sources circulated footage of burning equipment, which was recorded in an "ambulance".

The brightest blows fell on Khmelnitsky.

The Khmelnytsky Instrument-Making Plant "Neva" was struck. The enterprise produced radio engineering systems, equipment for airfields and aircraft. Judging by the prolonged secondary detonation from the field, there was an ammunition depot at the plant - the UAV warehouse could well have been covered.

The authors of the War History of Weapons channel, citing their sources, write that the Kation plant in the industrial zone in the south-west of Khmelnitsky was also hit, but we did not find footage confirming the strike on the Web.

In addition, there were reports of explosions in Lviv in the Stryi district, where a large number of workshops and enterprises are located.
