And while the attached image sounds like a joke, I'm not kidding - Iranians who receive higher education in Iran flee abroad to earn Benjamin Franklins ($) while sending nothing back to help the country that stood them up...Sharif University is known as mini-Howard because most of it's post-graduates end up being accepted by Howard and then conveniently forget their roots.

How do you expect Iranian expats to send remittances while Iran is under sanctions? The only way is to grab 10K dollars in wallet and travel to Iran.

There are bureaus where you can send limited amounts. Thing is, you have bastards who won't even do that.

The Iranians that escape iran usually hate iran. I knew alot of iranians in UK and they just hate their roots. Also iranians are the only muslims that will eat pork. Ive seen all types of sinner muslims but they never eat pork, iranians are an exception. On my flight to UK from doha, this iranian guy sitting beside me told me he is out of iran for first time in life and will never go back. A while later he opts for ham,i told him its pig(thinking he may not know), he said i know and ive always wanted to eat it. Lolz

I've come across many Iranians proud of their roots in the UK and well into the culture with even their kids being able to read and write Farsi. I do agree they are a lax on the faith side but many still have it. Having met a lady the other day at work we had wonderful conversations about Iran and became friendly. She actually does go back and help rural schools etc.

Iranians are very staunch nationalist people. Religious identity to us is secondary.

Yes that's true, but you't be surprised there has been somewhat of a resurgence in the faith aspect mainly sufi Islam as many of the great scholars of Sufi path had Persian heritage.

The Central Persians are the least religious group inside Iran IMO experience. Azeri Turks and Khorasan have produced much higher numbers of religious scholars. The supreme leader is Khamanei is Azeri Turk of the Bayat clan.

5% - 9% of population of Saudi Arabia are atheists more than any Islamic country and even more than many non Islamics

So your statistics are gimmick

Saudis are unfortunately hypocrites.
In Canada and European countries u will find many Arab irreligious people

Saudi/Emirati/Bahraini/Qatari heads and princess don't even fast in Ramadan

I'd say the number might be closer to 15% for saudi arabia. Pretty bizarre actually, given by how restrictive the environment was until fairly recently.

I'd say the urban ones among Central Persians. Tehranis are absolute degenerates, particularly in the north of the city although the problem is spreading into Ispehan as well.
The real number is about 30%, because many Saudis live outside of the kingdom and they don't believe in God
