This medium range system by the name of "Beit-ol Moghadas" has been completed."

I think he might have been referring to the 3rd Khordad which is a major achievement for Iran.

Before the 3rd Khordad, Iran's air defense network was very immobile and can be destroyed and degraded over time but the 3rd Khordad allowed a new ability of survivability integrated into one system that can operate as hunter-killer teams to ambush aircraft even during a massive US air operation. Something like what the Serbians were doing but on a much larger scale. If their are also large scale military tunnel network in Iran like what the Chinese have, then the survivability of these systems is enhanced greatly. It hard to pack up and move a system with multiple pieces like the Bavar-373 but 3rd Khordad can be anywhere anytime.

If each province operates a lot of these systems independently it can be quite a nuisance for enemy airforces

Some of the tools and equipment that they were using didn't even exist till decades after the J-85 was 1st produced so to me it's a bit of waist of resources to put all that effort and equipment on such an outdated low thrust small diameter engine that compared to it's thrust is far less efficient than J79's in fact per thrust the difference between them in efficiency is almost the same as the difference between a J79 and an RD-33 Turbofan engine.

Fuel consumption per thrust(Max military thrust (dry)):
J85 at max military thrust ~0.96 lb/(lbf·h)
J79 at max military thrust ~0.85 lb/(lbf·h)
RD-33 at max military thrust ~0.77 lb/(lbf·h)
F404 at max military thrust ~0.81 lb/(lbf·h)

Which makes J-85's really bad engines in terms of thrust and consumption per thrust with little room to upgrade due to size while J79 leave a lot of room for upgrades. Fact is for fighter engines people put too much emphasis on the fan of Turbofan's and not enough emphasis on everything else like allowing for air breathing low by pass, higher turbine inlet temperatures, the design & materials of your compressors, turbines & combustion chamber, additional subsystems of your engine, ball brings,.....

FYI the difference in the turbine inlet temperature of a J79 compared to an RD-33 is over 800F so addressing that alone will allow you to improve your combustion chamber & turbines that will allow for a more efficient engine per thrust.

Your reply is useless due to not being factual as it is inaccurate for several reasons as first is that which J85 are you thinking off since it is original series or that redesign J85-GE-21?

Since Iran did latter and fuel consumption is 1.24lb per lbf per hour and not 0.96lb per lbf per hour that for example Atar 09K-50 on Mirage F1 that Iran has from Iraqis that defected.

Previous J85 used AM355 alloy for compressor blades and multiple disk rotor while J85-21 has them made out of titanium hence despite added axial stage in front of original 8 along increased diameter of inlet that 15 percent increase in weight was negated by 15% increase in dry thrust and 22% increase in afterburner thrust hence greater thrust to weight ratio.

J79-GE-17 in comparison has thrust to weight ratio that is a joke compared to J85-GE-21 that is technologically closer to J79 than is it to older J85 models. Iranian clone of J85-21 is under name Owj has both afterburning and non-afterburning model with latter used on Yasin trainer jet. J85-GE-21 like RD-9 and Atar 09K50 turbojet engines has three bearing with a single shaft/rotor/spool that has 9 axial compressors with annular combustor and 2 turbines.

About year after your atrocious reply to that person is when Iran unveiled Jahesh-700 based on FJ33 medium to high bypass turbofan with key being titanium blades and maybe rotor. Also there is low bypass turbofan that is also single spool with three bearings, a fan and 8 axial compressors and 2 turbines. That is French SNECMA M53 used on Mirage 2000.

Iran could use F-5E/F as platform to gain experience with low bypass turbofans by developing own indigenous design and improve range and velocity of those fighter jets. Afterburner section of J85-GE-21 is longer than core engine, modern afterburner and that for a low bypass turbofan would be much shorter and at least as efficient. Depending on ambition it may well be possible to develop simplicity of M53 with complexity of J79 with technology of J85-21 and FJ33 to develop small good enough low bypass turbofan for F-5E/F that allows supercruising.
 
Unveiling and start of mass production of Iran's first fully domestic naval diesel engine dubbed "Macran 3600".

It's been developed by science based companies, has 3600 Horse power and can provide 30 knots speed for our Sina class vessels. design of heavier engines has already finished too.

thanks for sharing the news, but hadn't they claimed that the Bonyan-4 (5000 hp) was the first Iranian naval engine?

The Bonyan 4 would`ve been the first indigenously manufactured iranian naval diesel,but its pretty clearly a reverse/reenginered MTU type.
The new makran is claimed as being both iranian designed and manufactured.
