Please confirm the facts I have given. If these do not convince you nothing will. The best impartial source is Google Earth. I often use that to prove things to Ganga people - you know when they think everybody in Pakistan is living in mud huts and they are like another USA. Good thing with Google Earth satellite imagery is very objective.

The fact is Pakistan has left most of Iran border wide open and only scantly deployed some FC and some third rate 'Levies'. It is Iran that is investing heavily in sealing that border by building balls, berms, fortifications and border road to move guards so patrols are made easier.

Ok...I applaud Iran for securing her side but there are ways to counter smugglers or whatever crossing in mutual way rather than solo flight...

Indeed. I guess to be honest we can't blame our leaders. Ideally we should have walls across all our borders. That is how effective states secure their writ. Pakistan is 'weak' state because we have not. The result is every muffin, every reject, every smuggler on earth heads to Pakistan without any restriction. look the biggest, baddest and most wanted dude, Bin Laden was found in Pakistan.

However the problem is it is easy to criticise our government but unlike Iran or India we have lesser resources. Iran is oil rich and can afford to, despite the sanctions to pout money into it's side of the border. Iranian Balochistan has recieved far more inverstment ever since the days of Shah. They have spent billions in building roads, new housing and towns for their native Baloch. Therefore they have created more stability and law and order. The Indian's can afford to fence the Pak/India border but then they have over 300 million starving - so I guess they can spare the money. Those starving are untouchables anyway.

Pakistan has never had the same resources to do that in Balochistan. That is why we have left it open like tribal areas. Without any development and just bought out a few Baluch sardars. Most of Balochistan does not even have police presence. Other areas have bare presence of 'levies. No wonder the the problems we have. By leaving it open we have let drug gangsters, smugglers and terrorists of all colours take root there and the Iranian's don't appreciate that. They can't do anythin g to our side of Balochistan so they have gone in for 'sealing' but of course as you know nothing can be sealed 100%. The result is now and then these border infrigements lead to firing that goes across the line. But we must keep this is perspective. However the sectarian mongers jump at this chance to make merry and peddle hate.

Now I leave this thread to the religious bigots to fight it out. That is not my cup of tea. I am not really bothered if your Sunni, Shia or Martian with three eyes. They can split religious hairs by quoting this or that religious source. They have been doing it for well over 1000 years and in that time Europeans came and raped us and then raped us double time. But these people today still are at it. Somethings are never going to change.

So, it's flawed policies and strategies of pindi boys who gave and still give all the importance to eastern border while keeping the back unprotected to be screwed. I don't know any other country who have given the responsibility of protecting it's borders to others.
