Iranian economy on the verge of collapse

For those people who are holding Iran responsible for its economic state for pursuing a n--u--c--l--e--a--r program, please watch this interesting recent episode of a talk show that was broadcasted last month on American television. Iran, israel, the American policy with regards to the ME, and somewhat of the Arab Spring is discussed in the show and the guest Jesse Ventura bring up valid points of why Iran's n--u--c--l--e--a--r program is justified.

Jesse Ventura on CNN Piers Morgan Sept. 17th, 2012 Full Interview - YouTube

The whole show is actually worth watching, i recommend it.

The US has been proliferating nuke know how since the day they learned to make em.

And doesn't anyone else find it funny as well as ironical that the only country (U.S.A.) to have used nukes against civilian population centers is dictating to others who is a responsible nuke power or not?

I find it funny that your tax dollars goes towards it and there is nothing you can do about it

.
If a dictator does not have weapons and dont have friends in the high places, he will get violated like Gaddafi got. No Saudi dictator would want to get violated.

You did not catch the post, its about civilians the people starving and being poor where did your dic tators pop in.

Unfortunately that is true, just as American tax payers dollars goes to funding the same exact terrorist organizations that are responsible for 9/11 and other such atrocious attacks against civilians worldwide. From funding drug/war lords in Afghanistan to providing weapons to al-qaeda in Libya and Syria, indeed its a shame that today's America has become nothing but a far cry from what George Washington and other founding fathers of this blessed nation had struggled for and eventually established in their time.

Whether or not it is justified (personally I think it is justified)... the bottom line is that nothing can stop Iran's nuclear program short of a full-scale invasion and occupation. Any other measures can only delay the program, not stop it.

And America has already flat-out refused Netanyahu's demand to draw a red line on Iran's nuclear program, in a sign of a very large rift growing between the US and Israel. The Obama administration is making it clear that they are not going to intervene in the event of a unilateral Israeli strike against Iran.

So now it is just Israel by itself. While Israel is undoubtedly strong, it does not possess anywhere NEAR the capability to carry out a full-scale occupation of Iran.

This can only end via negotiations. If the USA + Israel are truly intent on stopping Iran's nuclear program, they will have to convince them using arguments not threats.

what a novice. Nobody has to occupy Iran to destroy its facilities and set them by a decade.

Destroying facilities can only delay a nuclear program, not stop it completely. That was my whole point.

How long can they push it back by? If they want to get it, they will get it eventually.

Attacking facilities will only make them more determined to push forward with the program.

Hezbollah will be itching to have a go If Israel even considers it.

The US cannot afford a full scale invasion/occupation of Iran, and any attack on Iran's sovereignty will only hamper Iran's program but not stop it, and it will ignite a conflict that will envelope the entire ME, israel will become extremely vulnerable and US will not be able to protect it. It'll become a free for all in way. Of course, the rest of the world will suffer energy shortage.

Negotiations, those have failed countless time and Iran is determined to achieve its goal. Thus the sanctions are to coerce Iran into a vulnerable position but it will take long to take effect to the extent for which they are implemented.

Exactly right.

How long can they delay the Iranian nuclear program with strikes? Maybe 5+ years?

5+ years is nothing. It will only make them more determined to complete the program.

@ Era_923

Why are the rest of the Iranian members boycotting Defence.pk? What is their reason?

Sorry for going off topic but i'm not able to send private messages or post visitor comments until i reach a specific amount of posts.

Padawan. Read again what I posted about what the best case scenario is ( to your question). Even so- Nobody stops us from going back again in a few years. No need to occupy.

There are going to be no strikes, it would simply evaporate half of israel's population.
