What's new

Iranian dispora worth more than $1,2 Trillion dollars

I know you prefer probably previous Shah but you know that in terms of economy this regime did better until very recently look from 1960 onwards economy after 1980 there was times with very high growth ( obviously in war it was slow) .

Do you know that the IMF estimated that if Shah's policy continued, we would be in the top 12 of biggest economies in 2020? This economic, scientific and social changes would have taken place, even if the revolution hadn't happened. It's not because of this regime, but in despite of.

I dnt think so as I said just go on Google gdp from 1960 its from world bank statistics it shows it.

.
After I will send you link for it, not hard go on Google write iran gdp and there is graph showing from 1960 onwards world bank data you can see in Shah's times it wasn't that great and after war there was times with very fast growth.

I wanna see less talk and more action... yalla

Then why didn't it happen?
In 37 years of Mohamad Reza rule,we couldn't even produce a rifle or missiles,if he really wanted to do something,he would do it in 37 years time he had. No,shah was not good for Iran either.

Besides, even if he wanted to improve economy,it wasn't a difficult task. When you are selling 5 million barrels of oil a day,and the whole western world is backing you,it's not very difficult to improve your economy.
If it wasn't for sanctions and Iran-Iraq war,we would be 15th or 14th economy of the world.
I don't deny we have corruption and mismanagement, but defending the Shah's policies is not acceptable for me by any means.

It didn't happen because the Shah was busy with implanting all kind of social reforms.

. . .
After 37 years?Seriously?
He started implanting those reforms only after he understood the population is turning against him and starting revolts.

Well, it doesn't matter why he implanted those reforms. He wanted to really change the country, but it was too late. Don't get me wrong; I'm not a monarchists. I just look at things openly.

World Development Indicators and Global Development Finance - Google Public Data Explorer

Look at economic growth from 2000 till like 2008 and in 1980s there was high growth till 1985 then massive downfall ( war debt or something)

OK, here's the deal professor. Iran's population has more that doubled since the revolution. So in order to properly measure the wealth of Iranians, which is what we were talking about, you need to look at an index called GDP Per Capita. Which is why I posted the data I did. Try again. yalla....

99% of Iranians outside Iran will never invest in Iran under these conditions. I have thought about it a lot and whether I would invest or not. I know for a fact that by 2020 I'm going to have around 500,000 dollar cash in my account. Of course I love my country, but I won't be able to live in Iran under these conditions so my money will be invested whereever I will be living at the time. If laws in Iran changed than I would consider living in Iran again.

In the West there is a lot of opportunity and we Iranians know how to take advantage of it.

Please feel free too Join Me and Invest In Pakistan we welcome all.

Eventually if the policy is changed, and many Iranian expats have come home and invested in Iran, I see them invest in our neighbor countries too. Iran could have a major impact in the region if everything is cooled down between US and the West.

Nice, you engineer? What is the main job involving.

No, not even close.

I studied business management (focus on international trade).

Alberta is the Saudi Arabia of North America and they badly need workers of all kind and they're willing to pay good money to attract people (in most cases they pay 2-3 times more than saudis/emaratis/qataris). To do NDT (non destructive testing) in the oil industry you can get into the business in a few diff ways. You can get an engineering degree or get certified in different testing methods individually (for example radiography). In Canada it's easier and faster to get certified in individual testing methods. All you need to do is take the courses, work for a set amount of hours, take the tests and you're certified. This takes 3-4 months (you also get paid for the work you do at this time). After that you can go get a job anywhere you want and in Northern Alberta they hire people on the spot (harsh working conditions so not many people are willing to work there). I'm a young guy, I'm not in a relationship and I frankly love the redneck life. It's a good time to be in Canada right now if you're willing to work in Alberta's oil industry.
