Thus ironically Armenia has more claim to actual territory than Azerbaijan since Armenias were ethnically different in antiquity than Persians while the same cannot be said of Azeris.

This is what makes this whole land dispute a recent phenomenon (20th century-21st century). Armenia is one of the oldest civilizations in the world. Iran is the oldest surviving civilization in the world (although some records may point to China at around 4000+ years old)
