Iranian Chill Thread

Iran's currency has plummeted under U.S. pressure, so if you put a fair price on fuel, no one will be able to drive.
Similarly, electricity will not be available to ordinary citizens.
As long as the US dominates the global financial system at will, the Iranian government is unfortunately helpless.
The limit is the long-term promotion of renewable energy development that does not depend on fuel prices.
Actually Iranian currency plummeted not because of US but mostly because of previous government of Rouhani printed money..lots of it..he also (I found out this few days ago) printed Rial equivalents to frozen funds..so value of Rial became diluted.

Iran's Frozen Funds in South Korea(Tasnim News)

According to Tasnim News Agency's economic correspondent, Central Bank Governor Mohammad Reza Farzin announced the release of all Iranian foreign currency resources in South Korea last week on his page on the social network, stating The resources will be used in the form of bank payments for the purchase of non-sanctioned goods (livestock and medicines).

Wrong. In his "Twitter" contribution Farzin of the CBI made strictly no mention whatsoever of livestock nor of medicine. The term "non-sanctioned goods" encompasses far more than those, it should include practically every type of product other than certain military and possibly some nuclear-related items. Furthermore Farzin's message debunked the lie that Iran's recovered funds will be stored by foreign banks, seeing how he made it clear that the money will actually go to Iranian banks.

This was all addressed in minute detail by Prof. Dr. Marandi in his latest interview with Jedaal which I shared here a few days ago, and which every Iranian interested in facts rather than in oppositionist-relayed USA propaganda, should listen to.

Not a new sort of propaganda but something that is slowly rising, posing as "Iranian nationalists" or worse, "Pan-Iranic" (a word that means nothing and has been invented by panturks)

Users condemning US acts of terrorism and propaganda worldwide against Iran, but blames every single thing on Iran, talks only about corruption, bankrupt, some unimportant details, implying there is no way for Iran to continue, but still making in sort they are seen as anti-imperialists, fouling people. This is a vicious one. When Iran continues what is does, then the answer is that Iran is risking a full scale invasion or "airstrikes" from the US, and when Iran slows down, then "Iran is bowing down and has no power". When Iran unveils a new weapon, "It will never be produced", when Iran unveils nothing for a month "Iran is doing nothing bowing down to US demands", when Iran show production lines "We are not seeing them on google earth and twitter"

What you correctly describe falls under the very definition of a propaganda / psy-ops technique known as cognitive infiltration. Cass Sunstein, one of the thinkers behind CIA-sponsored "color revolutions" precisely defined this as part of internet forum subversion tactics. You can find online the piece he authored on the topic.

The infiltrator must always try to pass themself of as being "on the side" of the party they try to subvert. In short, try to appear uber-patriotic but at the same time keep doubting the competence of Iranian decision makers, the Islamic Republic's record etc. And when called into question, invoke the pretense of "constructive criticism".

As I explained earlier though, there's no shortage of oppositionist Iranians with a bizarre tendency of taking pride in the Islamic Republic's long list of achievements, who will unintentionally and naturally mimic the behaviour of trained shills. In the minds of this strange category of individuals, every success recorded by the Islamic Republic is supposedly a legacy of imaginary "nationalist" phantoms, while clerics and pious Moslems in official positions i.e. the people who actually made it all possible are portrayed as having been but an "obstacle" to Iran's development. Then again if there's one activity anti-IR oppositionists excel at, it must be self-delusion. Must admit that observing them dwell in that parallel world of theirs can at times be fascinating.

Another one linked to this we see here with a user that strangely doesn't post anymore, he was at a daily basis posting random things about Ukraine, also some random pictures of NK/China/Russia production lines, for the simple reason of implying NK is doing better than Iran and that Iran produces nothing and is on the verge of collapsing and bankrupt, unlike NK which according to them is in very good shape, not having financial problems and making everything better than Iran, comparing it to Iran.

Why posting random pictures of foreign country production lines and new systems while the subject isn't related on their specifications in this thread or others? This is not random, this is made so users seeing them says to themselves NK is better and produces weapons and everything better than Iran, and also make a senseless comparison between NK and Iran, two different countries that are both impacted by sanctions, with one being the actual obsession from medias and having way more sanctions than the other, and another one having an alliance and military cooperation pact with a neighboring superpower

When it comes to this particular propaganda theme, look no further than to a couple of still active users. The one you're thinking of was randomly sharing DPRK military news indeed, but now two others who forego indirect insinuations to the benefit of outright claims that the DPRK has surpassed Iran in every defence sector. This line was initiated by a user who reappeared some months ago under a new handle, and (unsurprisingly) quickly turned into one of the favorite mantras rehashed by the racialist who is obsessing about "paid foreigners working for the mullahs".

Amusing side note on that same subject: for years they were claiming that the user who no longer posts is probably an MKO member from Albania. Then, after their sudden u-turn they went as far as reacting with a "like" to a long rant by that same purported MKO operative, when the latter was alleging that the Islamic Republic "ruined" the Iranian economy, drawing hollow comparisons with Turkey, south Korea and the shah era and so on. In other words, they began supporting whom they thought is an MKO footman. Perhaps because the MKO "are no South Asians recruited by the mullahs"? How immensely frustrated and emotionally unstable one has to be.

No doubt that Rouhani was a sabotage agent, sent to destroy the economy by intent, through intentionally harmful policies. He is worthy of execution.

As always the problem lies with previous government
The excuse of previous government fault could be valid for first 2-3 months of every new administration after that there could be no acceptable excuse.

Saudi Arabia produces close to 9 million barrels of oil every day.

At the time this government took office our oil production were at 2.2-2.5 million barrels per day and gas production equivalent to 5-6 million barrels of oil. which could make close to 8 million barrels of oil per day.

This is only oil and gas production comparison and Iran has other resources that even SA does NOT have them.

I don't think that's right. It was steadily depreciating from 2013 to 2017 by c. 8% per year, but then the spike was in early 2018 when the US under Trump withdrew from the JCPOA and reimposed all US primary and secondary sanctions against anyone doing business with Iran

oddly, the price has been very stable since then

You are absolutely right..in every other country with normal rational economy fuel is taxed and the revenue is used in government budget to pay for projects..in IR it is exactly in reverse..government revenue from oil and taxes are used and turned into fuel so population does not complain about every thing else that is going wrong (governance by bribery!!)...the upside down economy of Islamic Republic..what a shame.
the problem is that the islamic radicals made people think that because Iran has so much oil and gas, they have a right to free electricity and utilities forever

article in FT today:

As the government makes a significant loss by importing fuel at market rates and then selling it to consumers at a much lower price, there is mounting pressure to end the years of ultra-cheap petrol to which Iranians have become accustomed.

Mohammad-Reza Mir-Tajeddini, a member of parliament, told local media this week that fuel subsidies were now three times more than the country’s total development budget, but “nobody dares to speak” about raising the petrol price.

Doing so risks a repeat of the public outrage that followed last time authorities raised prices in 2019. More than 300 people were killed in a subsequent crackdown on violent street protests, according to Amnesty International.

“The current situation of low petrol prices is not sustainable, but the government does not have the political courage to increase prices,” said Hamid Hosseini, a petrochemicals trader. “Consumption keeps going up and the government is importing petrol at global rates only to sell at highly subsidised rates. It will be impossible to manage the demand in two years’ time if prices remain the same.”

Ali Ziyar, deputy head of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, told local reporters this month that consumption had risen 20 per cent since March to 124mn litres a day, but domestic refining capacity was capped at 107mn litres.

Ziyar confirmed that Iran had deployed its strategic reserves, but officials have not confirmed speculation that refined fuels are also being imported for the first time in about a decade.

For those Iranians who consider cheap fuel to be a birthright because their country sits on top of some of the world’s biggest oil and gas reserves, the government’s dilemma does not wash.

“We have massive energy reserves — unlike other governments — why should we accept price rises?” said Ali, a 32-year-old taxi driver. “Are our salaries paid based on international standards? I earn $200 a month. Who in the world earns such a low wage?”

When i was sure that keyboard armies is not a conspiracy theory, i found this on Reddit on a forum about Islam, the user says he has been raped at 9 year old by "Biryani Sheiks", when the other user asks him which Islamic movement he was part of, he answers "Biryani" which is a food dish, getting unmasked immediately in a funny way that he is lying and posing as an "ex muslim".

I really wonder who are behind these kind of account aiming specifically at Islam/Arabs/Iran with blatant lies.

Honestly posts on Reddit are just one step above posts on 4chan

you're right, security is not needed

unfortunately this is the attitude that permeates across iran and we see the results
? Security is not needed? Not sure where you popped that out from.

Security is paramount. Just not the simplistic way you and many others are ‘intellectualizing’. I’m intentionally being obtuse to see if you’re able to make that logical jump up the thinking ladder especially given my hints. Right now you haven’t even taken the first step.

Unfortunately the problem runs deeper than that. There seems to be a large portion of society that are smitten by the west. غرب گرا. Deeply ingrained.

Ironically they don’t understand the West and sadly are shooting towards a target that has no value.

We see it in an obvious way in this very forum. Even those that believe they understand this and believe they’ve cleansed themselves from this nastiness are still unable to conjure independent thinking. They simply apply the old tired mode Western ‘thinking’ in a pseudo Iranian mold.

Those are far worse than being an agent of foreigners.
