Iran Withdraws Funding to Pakistan for Gas Pipeline Project

What do you think is the reason of Iran 'playing weak' after their relationship is normalizing with US? Lol I am sure you didnt see this coming.

So if Iran doesn't give you aid then it's weak.

iran is playing weak?,lol,why should iran give money for the cons. of pipeline?

Well Lets be very clear about the "funding" the pipeline part and who was interested more, and who's need it was. The Answer is Iran, NOT Pakistan.

Iran was in a situation where even India backed off from making any commitment due to sanction.

No one was ready to have such a project with Iran ; it was only Pakistan who faced all the immense pressure from US viz a viz this gas pipeline.

We did NOT succumbed to pressure. It was Iran who needed such a project for its macho-standing up kinda image hence Iran promised funding to build Pakistan part of the pipeline.

Now when Iran has a short term deal with US, it is playing safe to save the deal atleast for 6 months NOT bad.

Once US take some harsh step Iran will resume its other priorities.

For the time being we have to find out other ways of starting work on it.

It might have something to do with the pro Saudi regime in Pakistan. This deal was always iffy ever since Sharif came to power.

It has more to do with Bania diplomacy. I don't think its just a coincidence that Iran backs down AFTER signing a deal with India.

Pakistani minister also said in the said statement that Pakistan will go ahead with completing it, whenever, we had the required money till then Iran can mint as much as from US deal
