Aahh...We have nothing against a little joke, even from an adversary. The fact that this supposedly captured intact drone issue has pretty much fizzled out after that dog-and-pony show video mean more incredulous people have dismissed Iran's claim of possession of the real thing. But what is not a joke is that when the shooting starts, we will not be sending Iran toy models of their speedboats but splinters of the real things.

It was dubious from the start. From the video, why did the Iranians covered up the underside by putting the supposedly captured drone on a platform? If anything, showing damages, especially recovered components, would prove beyond any reasonable doubts to the Iranian claim. Just show the manufacturer's stamp or riveted part ID tag from the landing gear, for example. These drones are built mostly from COTS components so soon enough someone will post online that the components are genuine from so-and-so plant from so-and-so state, and so on. Showing an Iranian engineer holding said component demonstrating where its speculative location on the drone would be undeniable.
