Iran to replace Germany as the suppliers of Gas turbines to Russia

Doesn't MAPNA manufacture their gas turbines under license to Siemens though? Wouldn't the threat of sanctions make MAPNAs position in suppying turbines to Russia too risky?
Iran did have a license agreement with Siemens . But Siemens left Iran due to first round of sanction almost a decade ago despite being active in Iran for 50 years..MAPNA took over and improved upon the design and the rest is history...

Same story with Ukraine Antonove 140 Turbo prop airplane...they left and it took Iran 8 years to complete the project and turn the aircraft design from passenger to military transport..first aircraft going through flight tests now.

Countries that obey saction shoot themselves in the foot.

Those sanctions were lifted in 2016, according to MAPNAs website they subsequently resumed their licensing deals with Siemens. The whole 'West is bad, we don't need them' thinking by some on this thread ignores the reality of complex industrial manufacturing and it's interconnected nature.

TITANIUM is a strategic metal..If they agree to provide it to Iran I do not expect it to become public..like many other things that Iran and friends do and no one is aware of..
Are you aware we have more titanium mines than Russia and our mines have higher concentration than theirs. We just need wean ourself from the bad habit of selling raw materials

But how much TItanium does Iran produce yearly?????????? That's what matters - all this "we have the largest blah blah" is irrelevant at hte end of the day..just produce and manufacture more and more things needed worldwide! Iran is doing well in that, but it seems more can be done still, thats ok, its called natural growth.

we have the know how of producing various titanium alloys , as i said we must wean ourselves from the bad habit of selling raw material and turn those knew how into industrial scale factories

Then the first thing to tackle is the brain drain.

I will indeed admit the corruption and nepotism in Iran is responsible for this to some degree but gharbzadehgan are pretty shameless too.

"EYE LOFF AMRIKA!" drives them to towards it, drooling at their mouths. Their temperament cools only after two decades when their children turn into faggots and whores and the high standard of living and taxes financially rape them.

Another victory for Iran's Turbine industry..This time around it is the GAS turbines (These are Iranian gas turbines that will be used for In Russian gas pipes, instead of previous used German ones....)
Iran to supply 40 gas turbines to Russia

Tehran (IP) - The CEO of Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company (IGEDC) announced the signing of a contract to export 40 Iranian-made turbines to Russia.

Iran Press/ Iran News: Reza Noshadi said Iran’s gas output has doubled under the severe sanctions, adding that the industrial successes of the country are not limited to missiles and drones, and now 85% of the facilities and equipment needed by the gas industry have been built inside the country and based on this capability, a contract has recently been signed for the export of 40 Iranian-made turbines to Russia.

I don't think this was the case as of 2018.
The Siemens license is current and ongoing according to MAPNAS website. With new sanctions against Iran from NATO allies due to it's support of Russia in it's war against Ukraine, there is a strong possibility that Siemens will be forced to once again suspend their licensing deal with MAPNA.

Iran should focus on completing JCPOA deal rather than supplying drones and gas turbines to Russia.
There is no actual desire by euros to reimplement JCPOA. Their conditions are unreasonable and I doubt they sincerely believe Iran will agree to them. It's just an excuse for more sanctions

Nope, MAPNA is currently delivering f class turbines under license from Siemens. The first of 20 planned f class turbines was delivered to the Dokouheh Power Plant in Khuzestan Province on Saturday, December 21, 2019.
