Iran: Syrian intervention 'will be defeated'

They are right: intervention of Iranian Quds brigades in Syria will be defeated.

If in some Muslim countries we did not have traitors as leaders Israel would be history. Tell me why are you Israelis so scared of 1 Muslim country Iran??

Do not worry eventually all Muslim countries will have leaders who represent our wishes and then we will see what interference in our affairs you can undertake

well , that 89.9% was yes to new constitution that allowed the other parties also participate in elections you expected people vote no to this?

In the parliament election that come after it ba'ath party won 73% and turnout was just 51% now the opposition must blame itself for falling in the trap of armed gangs and exteremist supported by some foreign countries and boycutting the election , let me tell you if they also boycut the next election they must not exept to win it either..

By the way from where that 97% come from

before these tormoil ? As you know before the election syria was under secial law since eternity and it was a one party country , nobody from outside the ba'ath party allowed to compete . But after the tormoils when people asked for changes , Bashar Asad , made many changes and right now syria hzva one of tne muxt free and advanced laws in all the arab worlds . New laws acknowledge all the civil rights , they now can have multiple parties ,and the election is a real ellection not anymore something for shows.

now you must ask yourself if these armed gangs want the good of their country why they don't participate in a demoteratic ways to get what they want ,why raise guns ,if they think they can defeat asad in election .
You must ask yourself why you hear a slogan such as "after we succed all christian can go to lebanon and all alavite must go to hell" to be honest you expect to hear these sort of talking from KSA not syria which for hundreds of years christian and muslim lived peacefully with ezch other.

You must ask yourself why they had to use alqaeda strategies , such as bombing and killing of supporter of asad in the regions they controled.

Why in 45 days that passed from annan plan for peace they violated it for 4000 time?

And many more why's

with due respect to your opinion, One has to be morally correct before preaching the justfulness and righteousness an Alawite (tiny minority) should not, must not and will not rule the predominantly Sunni country (same as your beloved supreme leader preach about Bahrain) and if you have little knowledge of the new law regarding presidential elections the dictator has already solidified his power for another two 7 years terms. Your justification regarding decades of emergency law to keep the people under the gun is very hollow and the cosmetic changes by referendum will not change the fate of ordinary Syrians. I very well know that Bathist are staunchly secular people but a “dictator is a dictator “, you cannot expect mercy and compassion from the beast.

Russia’s foreign minister Sergei Lavrov has made clear that Iran should not be excluded from an international conference on Syria – putting it on a collision course with the US over the stalled peace process.

A conference, which some have likened to the Dayton accords that put an end to the three year long civil war in Bosnia in 1995, may be held later this month.

“We want this event to be effective. In order to be effective all the sides with any influence on the sides in the Syrian conflicts should be represented there. Iran is one such country,” Mr Lavrov said.

Hillary Clinton, US secretary of state, appeared to reject a role for Iran earlier this week, when she said: “It's a little hard to imagine inviting a country that is stage-managing Assad regime’s assault on its people.”

Iran is a key Russian ally in the Mideast and is one of the principal backers of Bashar al Assad, Syrian president. Mr Lavrov said that the Russian general idea of holding a conference “was not rejected” by the US side during talks on Friday with Mrs Clinton’s special adviser on Syria Fred Hof.
According to one senior foreign policy figure who requested anonymity, such a conference could be held as early as late June following a planned meeting between US President and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit in Mexico next weekend. The tentative location, he said, would be Geneva.

Both the US and Russia agree that the peace plan negotiated by former UN secretary-general Kofi Annan, which has been in effect since April, has had little result. No ceasefire has been observed and Syrian paramilitaries and army continue to attack civilians, according to western governments.

Mr Lavrov spoke after reports that 17 people had been killed by shelling in the Syrian town of Deraa, where the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad erupted 15 months ago.

Russia however, lays the majority of the blame for the fighting on the Syrian opposition, which it blamed for a recent massacre in the town of Houla that left over 100 dead.

Mr Lavrov sounded one or two conciliatory notes during a Saturday press conference in Moscow following Mr Hof’s trip. He said that Russia would sign no new contracts for the supply of weapons with the regime of Bashar al-Assad, Syrian president, and that Russia’s weapons supplies were only in fulfilment of existing contracts, according to Interfax news agency.

However, he dashed rumours that Russia has begun to loosen its support of Mr Assad and might even be willing to facilitate his removal from power as part of a revised peace plan. The Annan plan, he admitted was “stalled”, but said there was no alternative.
Russia has long argued that Mr Assad’s exit could only come at the end of a peace process, “according to the will of the Syrian people” rather than as a precondition.

Do you even know what sectarian means? It seems you've learned it recently cause you are using it in every post.

Ok let's see who sees everything from sectarian window: Iran is a Shia Majority country and it has good relations with Sunni majority countries like Pakistan,Turkey,UAE (except their nonsense claims on islands), and even Kuwait.
But how is Saudi Arabia's relations who sees itself as leader of Sunni world with only 3 Shia-led countries,Iran,Iraq and Syria (if we consider Alawis as a branch of Shia Islam)? Yes it's terrible, because problem of Saudi Arabia is Shiism, not ant other BS they claim it to be.
So as a natural order,Saudi Arabia becomes Iran's enemy because that's what they want and like.
About Bahrain,Although it's a Shia majority country, but because its people have no role in their destination and the country is led by a Sunni puppet king,Saudi Arabia has 'brotherly' relations with it.
So please, first look up the world sectarian in a dictionary, then talk.

we have come to know the term sectarianism after the Iranian revaluation came to power now this is fact. your problem is that we are talking about iran and your responding back bringing Saudi arabia throwing words everywhere while saudi arabia is maintaining excellent relations worldwide. we have seen iran's diplomacy in the region whether in bahrain, lebanon, syria, iraq, afghanistan, yemen, kuwait, UAE. supporting and creating militias, interfering in many countries internal affairs, discrimination against minority in Ahwaz, (sunni/shia Arabs),balochi, kurds and in the rest of the islamic world. Iran has poor relations with many countries due to its stupid external policies. you can take iraq, bahrain, egypt, UAE , Turkey, Saudi arabia, Qatar, and now morocco as an examples. not to mention terror plots in afghanistan, pakistan, malaysia, Kuwait and egypt. censorship of the media in Iran have led you blind. :disagree: :guns:

The point is the opposition the "seekers of a democratic nation" could not beat Assad in election so they took up arms provided by GCC countries they are terrorists and nothing more. In this such scenario do you blame Assad for taking the opportunity and securing his future I would have done the same.

By selling out Palestinians? By allowing west to sell them weapons at inflated prices?

No it is not your money. Nor is it the money of that family. Look if it was that family's or your personal money why would members of that family be taking kick backs aka bribery money??

The arms company BAE secretly paid Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia more than £1bn in connection with Britain's biggest ever weapons contract, it is alleged today.

A series of payments from the British firm was allegedly channelled through a US bank in Washington to an account controlled by one of the most colourful members of the Saudi ruling clan, who spent 20 years as their ambassador in the US.

It is claimed that payments of £30m were paid to Prince Bandar every quarter for at least 10 years.
