Iran-Pakistan trade to hit $13 billion

TEHRAN - Iran-Pakistan trade targeted to hit dollars three billion a year, Deputy head of Foreign Trade Development Houshang Rezaie Tamrin said on Tuesday.
Tamrin told IRNA that Iran-Pakistan currently stands at less than one billion dollars and planning has been made to augment the figure to three billion dollars in light of abundant opportunities in the field of trade and economic cooperation.
He said common geographical borders as well as religious affinities are among other factors which give impetus to enhance level of trade.
He added that specialized meetings, to be organized by the two sides, would help upgrade knowledge of the two countries’ traders about the grounds for economic cooperation.
He noted that a trade delegation will soon be dispatched to Pakistan later this year for the purpose.

Trade is always good especially btw neighbours.

Pakistan's total trade is with the world is less than 50 bill which is less than Indian trade with Africa Alone. I don't understand why Pakistan is not expanding relations with all brics. Just China, Iran, Turkey and a few others won't make is a developed market economy.

Pakistan is ignoring a giant in the region, India. India, Pak and Iran together can make a huge trade and energy corridor. Its time Pakistan should open up and expand trade with entire world and explore new markets.

well unlike your ministers our have lot of other things to do than worry about this minute issues of trade and developments. Our trade and commerce ministry was headless for last 4 years while about a dozen opportunists took it over for few months each, but looks like this ministry is not very lucrative for them

I am sorry to say but unfortunately...if you do trade or not your country will import cultural imperialism to your country without any help of India ....If there is any growth of Indian so called cultural imperialism in Pakistan ....them blame your people rather than us....
