Zerohedge = CIA trolls, it's not a reliable source, they are just government trolls lying and trolling, I dont understand how can someone repeat the nonsense of that site.
I guess it's like that proverb "all is fair in love and war"
These people will do anything in the pursuit of terrorism whether it's against Pakistan, China, Iran, Turkey, etc...
wtf is an electromagnetic nuclear attack ?
does they even knew what they are talking about
EMP attack is a burst of electromagnetic radiation created by a nuclear explosion.
As
@Figaro stated it's when you implode a nuclear device particularly above ground it'll generate Electromagnetic radiation (i.e. an Electromagnetic Pulse) as
@skyshadow stated that destroys electronics within a particular designated range through current and voltage surges.
I'm not an expert on this but from my understanding a single missile imploded above the US could generate one that affects the entire country though not sure its efficacy the higher up you go or the payload size you require, etc...
However the claim about killing 90% of Americans, that's just nonsense unless the people in the US just turn on each other in a Mad Max like scenario and do it themselves.
well an EMP attack will only be responded by EMP attack
I can't recall where I read this but going down the social ladder, like going from being wealthy by international standards to dirt poor, is far harder on a person both mentally and physically than going from being poor to even poorer.
Just imagine people going without internet in the US for even a week let alone a month or two or three, it's an addiction and will drive them nuts.
Considering the US' nuclear arsenal size I don't think they'd bother with an EMP attack at that point.
Also, a EMP blast would only be temporarily ... ultimately though what would be the point of this if entire cities are going to be destroyed anyways in a nuclear war?
The point in war isn't to kill human beings, ultimately they can easily procreate and pop out more, it's to destroy critical infrastructure and equipment.
In the case of a nation like Iran which would have a very limited nuclear arsenal, if they could even develop one, an EMP attack on the US would probably be the better course to take to cause the maximum damage possible with the limited resources they would have.
However, not an expert on this, what did you mean the effects were "temporary"?
From my understanding the current and voltage surges will require people to replace entire electronics systems which would be exorbitantly expensive to do country wide especially when it concerns modern equipment heavily reliant on computer systems like modern cars and farm equipment all while your economy has been devestated from the EMP attack to begin with and could be virtually shut down perhaps for years.
My view is that Iran would probably make it out better following an EMP attack than the US would though the US likely won't even bother considering their nuclear arsenal.
