Under the most severe sanctions, Iran's Mapna Group has launched the first Iranian-made state-of-the-art 2.5 MW Wind Turbine in the province of Qazvin.

CEO: " ... but we all know that in the electric power industry we are among the prominent countries, appreciate your value, we shall appreciate our value which achieving this was really difficult."

to stop us from our rights and achieving higher steps, they even went as far as halting the export of medical drugs for our cancer patients....

2.5mw capacity is impressive.Wind turbines today are produced around the world but with much less capacity. If i am not wrong the HIT taxila Produced Wind Turbine has only the capacity of 1mw

& Other products ...

Gas Turbine :

Our turbine technology was initially acquired and is still developing through co-operation with international partners. Over the past decade, however, MAPNA Group’s manufacturing and engineering know-how has also grown up via in-house developments.

Agility and responsiveness are among the major functional strategies of our life-cycle engineering to support products and services. Research and development on the products and services, on the other hand, is carried out in order to respond to customer needs and new markets.

Modification/upgrading of current products through intense programs are at the heart of our current activity. Successful upgrade of our 160 MW Gas Turbine in early 2011 (known as MAP2+) was the first major achievement in this new strategic direction.

Further, we seek to bring about more diversity in products and services. New product development, improving the power output and efficiency of the current products, increasing availability and lifetime to reduce operation and maintenance costs, as well as fuel and ambient conditions conformity shape our R&D activities.
We aim towards delivering a wide-ranging portfolio of products that offers value to customers.

Any indications for the difference in cost from a 1MW one?

. .
Isnt a gas turbine something whole different than a wind turbine? :what:

This is why I wrote > Gas turbine : !

I just mentioned mapna's other capability ...

They seems to be the normal wind turbine what is there like state of art?

I think this is thread starter's idea ...

it's a very good achievement, but it has nothing to do with being a 'state of the art' achievement.

It's not, it's just a wind turbine. A college can put one together in a few days.

Kiarash is a mullah lover. In Iran they use stuff like this to brainwash the normal folk who sell vegetables on carts to try and make them think Iran is a superpower. Sort of like how North Korea uses propaganda to brainwash its people.

Good achievement for a mid size start-up trying to make a profit for the first time, not for a country. The language you use shows how backward Iran is. A wind turbine is used as propaganda. That's just sad.
