Blame is of course on Pakistan. Many Iranian border guards have been attacked, killed and even taken as prisoners from insurgents coming from OUR side of the border. If we cannot even govern our own province effectively, purging extremist elements from it from spreading across the borders like viruses, naturally another nation which is not that dumb as us would be forced to retaliate.

I bet you will still cry when Pakistan retaliate, to me you seem to be one of those Pakis who love Iran over Pakistan.

So Pakistan is facing problems on all its borders now.

Even Chinese are complaining about Pakistani non-state actors attacking with impunity across its borders.

Pakistan can not continue to harbour these so called non state actors for all its neighboring states and still claim its sovereignty.

Either Pakistan owns up to the attacks being carried out from with in Pakistan or it owns up to the fact that it has no sovereign control over its own lands and allow others to come clean up its mess..like it is letting Americans do in FATA.

Here you go - the Pakistani foreign office making the same point I made earlier, that many of these attacks are perpetrated from within Iran itself, and that the Iranian border guards ended up raiding the residence of a relative of one their own commanders:

Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam, however, sought to downplay the warning, saying that Pakistan and Iran have a mechanism such as a border management committee to deal with the threat of terrorism. “We believe that if Iran has evidence that elements from Pakistan are involved in activities against Iran, they should share it with us.”

She pointed out that according to Pakistani authorities the recent violent incidents were perpetrated inside Iranian territory by Iranians and that was corroborated by their own accounts.

“It is not helpful to externalise problems. We need to focus on eliminating terrorism from our countries. We have mechanisms which can investigate such events as was done in the past when the Iranian guards were kidnapped and released inside Iran,” she emphasised. The spokesperson recalled that last time allegations levelled against Pakistan in the kidnapping of Iranian guards were proven wrong.

The Pakistani Foreign office (quoted in my post above) pointed out that the attacks the Iranians are blaming occurred from the Pakistani side in fact happened inside Pakistani territory, and that the Iranians were wrong about the previous incident involving the abduction of Iranian border guards.

Just because the Iranian regime wants to hide the atrocities it perpetrates on its Baloch population from its populace and hide the fact that it is facing a significant insurrection on its territory does not mean one foolishly accepts every piece of nonsensical propaganda out of the mouth of the Iranians. Iran faces significant challenges on its Eastern borders due to an indigenous insurgency and violent and widespread criminal activity (drugs, weapons, oil) that her own border guards are involved in - these are not problems that Pakistan is causing.

No, in "other words", it is called being shot in the back and/or blindsided by troops considered to be "friendly" while the FC soldiers were involved in chasing criminals themselves.

Given all the ranting and whining by the Iranians, the FC probably expected the Iranian soldiers to assist them in apprehending the criminals, not shoot at them.

The fault here lies entirely with poorly trained and undisciplined Iranian soldiers.

Agreed. This will now bite the Iranians back up their a**.

After this incident, expect the SOP's to change. They will not be treated as friendlies anymore and most likely special issue weapons will be released to our FC boys to deal with any threat from the Iranian side.

They warned of this potential incursion more than 24 hours ago, one of their key ministers made a public announcement. The onus is on Pakistan to have made contingency plan to prepare for any potential Iranian incursion. This is another failure by Pakistan it's government and military/FC. They were firing for 6 hours continuously, and not a single act of retaliation came. You can craft up any rational or excuse you want but neither is valid and sensible.

This won't be happening again, that i can guarantee you. Expect the SOP's to change

Well it is Pakistan's word against Iran's.

But here is the thing, almost all Pakistani neighbors have the same complain, of attacks on their country originating in Pakistan..some countries like India and Afghanistan claim they have Pakistani govt blessing..others(Iran, China) blame just the non state actors.

Common denominator between all these claims is Pakistani land, from where these attacks originate.

Indian defence minister's claim of Pakistan being a global puzzle might hold more water than what is apparent.
