Indian Syp Kulbhashan Yadev issue is definitely hard to defend and justify from iranian side and they have tried to hush it up. the failure of our political leadership to internationalise it and bring it up repeatedly has not helped either. it seems that PM Nawaz government was more upset about his arrest than Iran and India combined and has displayed almost complete silence in order to distance itself away from the armed forces and security agencies of Pakistan.

BBC Panorama investigation revealed that Iran provided all the intelligence on Iraqi target for Iraq war. Iranian shia proxies in Iraq had given every bit of information to Iran which in turn shared with US for some economic concession and obviously topple Sunni ruler. Which they ultimately succeeded. Syria got atheist sort of shia regime, Iraq got shia hardlines in government, houties are active in Yemen. Bahrain is also a mess. Iranian ultimate enemy Saudis are in panic mode now. But for Saudis to go down, Pakistan needs to be neutralized first. So it make sense for Iranian to neutralize Pakistan offensive capability by any means. few month back i pointed the same thing that when it comes to pick the alliance, humans always pick alliances. neutral people lives only in graveyards. and this is the time when Pakistan should step forward engage its diplomatic machinery and military channels to perform a leading role in gulf countries, since after the americans changing sides arabs are looking toward east already they have shown interest in CPEC and why not ???? the awaking of dragon (china) has already alert them for their future planing the vacuum left by Americans could be filled through sino pak. specially if Donald trumph came in to power arabs will change their sides swiftly and it will be fruitful because ..

• The idea of Free Trade Agreement should be materialized. Through Pakistan-GCC FTA, Pakistan is keen on developing special economic zones for investors from all the GCC states especially KSA and UAE. Pakistan also hopes that Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) would invest in various sectors of Pakistan.
  
• Bilateral relations be further strengthened by more frequent exchanges at functional level and with increased interactions between private sectors and investors from the Gulf countries who may be given special concessions to attract them to invest in Pakistan.
  
• Food security is an emerging socio-economic issue in all the GCC states which needs to be addressed to by having Free Trade Agreements especially with Pakistan. • Pakistan’s economic management in the GCC states also needs to be streamlined and expanded to boost economic, trade and commerce relations.
  
• During Modi’s 2015 visit, India and the UAE agreed to cooperate in peaceful uses of nuclear energy including areas like safety, health, agriculture and science and technology. Pakistan has developed an extensive programme for civilian uses of nuclear energy and offers great opportunities. It, on the basis of its strong relations with Gulf States should offer its cooperation in civilian uses of nuclear energy to the Gulf states.
  
• joint Ventures in halal food and agriculture may be established in order to promote the Pakistani food items in the GCC countries and to export them to third countries after processing/ packaging/ This would provide better market access for Pakistani products in countries with which Gulf States have Free or Preferential Trade Agreements.
  
• Pakistan, in cooperation with China and Turkey, should use its diplomatic clout to engage Gulf States and in establishing a new arrangement in the region that protects the interests of all key players and removes the existing tensions between Gulf States and Iran.

Pakistan is a unique country, whose foreign policy is derived from emotions not by pragmatism, though things are changing lately, but in bigger picture we have isolated ourselves on our own. There are no permanent friends or enemies in countries but the interests, the sooner we understand and accept it, the better. Iran has her own interests in Afghanistan, If anyone of you have read Saleem Shehzad's famous book "Inside Alqaida and Taliban" you must know what interests Iran have in Afghanistan. We can have way better relations with any country, all we need to up the game on diplomatic fronts.

I strongly believe Pakistan Iran and Turkey can become very close and Pakistan needs to work towards that goal. I don't see any reason why Iran wouldn't want to be closer to Pakistan. The weakness is on the PakistanI side. Why didn't Pakistan build the oil pipeline on their side?
