Baloney, Iran has had significant leverage over the Taliban since 2001.
You realize before the war, top Taliban and Al-Queda officials fled to Iran for safe haven and were held under house arrest for years. So effectively Iran had leverage over the Taliban and Al-Queda.
but this sudden move by iran can't be explained specially when you have US troops pulling out.it looks like iran is in a hurry to repair ties.you have to talk to taliban if you want trucks to pass safely from afghanistan.iran is behaving like they are in a hurry.present situation in afghanistan really put chahbahar plan in jeopardy.
