too late and too fast ,the witness reports say the landing was too steep .

there was a time when there were no sanctions and iran can buy new and used airliners as they want . what iran did was massive new airliners orders and ignored that USA can turn back anytime on sanctions . what the really received were 13 ATR and 4 a-330/320/ . and sanctions back . now average fleet age is 21 years and all junk is remain .

rather that time if they were smart they grabbed some 50 young birds from companies for example 15 b777 were on sale from india/vietnam/ethopia those days on dirt cheap prices . they have today some strong young fleet .they were dreaming 200 /300 new airliners and nothing happened .

We could not ,those facilities have too get their spare from USA and had to tell USA foreign ministry for who they need any of those spares .

No, he is right. Spare parts require approval from US. That is why when the JCPOA interim deal was signed Iran requested that US allow Boeing to send updated maintenance manuals and spare parts to service existing fleet.

Iran currently keeps its fleet flying by buying spare parts and manuals on black market or through other countries. Private airlines in Iran actually have modern jets and continue to acquire new ones. It’s the state airlines that are suffering.

Until last night i can not see modern jets in any private or gov airline sir . Usa already aproved 3 years parts and services for iran . Even canada got the aproval for services atr of iran as engines are made by canada

Go look at Mahan and other private airlines fleet. You are a grown man, I am not going to spoon feed you Information.

They are literally flying planes made within 10 years which is very new considering service life of planes. Mahan and other airlines would buy newer second hand planes off of other countries after they would no longer need it or lease planes.

So Iran’s private air fleet is not in as dire shape as people make it seem. Of course state airlines will keep older planes in service because state airlines the fares are cheaper.

As you can see this plane was a small plane used to travel within Iran. You have to compare the route being flown with the plane to match that route for best efficiency and cost.

Iran’s order for 100+ planes is a completely different story. When you want to make your fleet MUCH bigger to be a regional airline rival to Emirate and Turkish airlines (rather than MAINTAIN and UPGRADE) then you have no choice but to negotiate directly with Airbus/Boeing because they are the only Ones who can fulfill that order along with proper maintenance and discount on the prices.
