An "alarming" rise in Iran's execution rate since the beginning of the year has drawn sharp criticism from Iranian opposition leaders, western nations and rights groups.

Amnesty International recorded more than 80 executions last month, nearly as many as were put to death in all of 2005, when President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad took office.

this is nothing
in the 80s Iran average a few thousand per year. Back then you would get executed for the smallest thing. For example Mousavi and Karoubi would have been executed 10 times by now if it was the 80s and 90s.

actually he's right, and you know it but you're trying to play the whole "polite guest" towards your hosts.

Don't get me wrong, I am 100 percent for executions, but only for certain crimes. Islam however says that Adulterers etc... have to be executed as well and that is what these mullahs are doing. Islam is not exactly a religion that forgives and forgets. That's why Muslim countries have such high execution rates.

China is Islamic? We shoot a lot more criminals and though we don't shoot adulterers we do shoot corrupt official (that after all is a non-violent crime just like adultery)


better to be good guests than act like these people.
