hahaha jeg er fuldstændig enig!
In general I dont think Scandinavia have that good food culture. Its so dull and boring. Even the danes and Swedes dont like it that much. loool
In Sweden I know that falafel and kebab in pita are wildly popular. In Denmark too. Although that is like fast food.
But even main foods from Middle East are classes above North European/Scandinavian food.
Haha, yes. Some of it can be eaten but I have been served beef sausages (barley fried or cooked) with cold potatoes that where mixed with milk and then 2 tomatoes! Rice is barely eaten while this is nearly all we eat. And then some potatoes.
I liked the Danish yoghurts though and milk which is great. They have good milk products.
Yes, I have eaten at those falafel/kebab/döner places. There are a lot of them in Copenhagen. Most are owned by Turks, Palestinians or Albanians. Iranians also have them.
Yes, Northern European food is horrible in general and tasteless if I can use that description. No spices at all. It's all based on pork, butter and potatoes. Add German to that as well. Greek, Italian, Spanish and to an extent French on the other hand have similarities with Middle Eastern food because of cultural exchanges, quite similar climates and the Mediterranean Sea region. They use olive oil as we also use. But also butter.
Surenas:
Some are Danes are racist and not hospital while others are not. Overall, at least in Copenhagen (a cosmopolitan city) I have found the people to be quite liberal and the youth do not really look down upon people that are not from Denmark or from the Middle East. Only a joke here and there but this is mutual.
In comparison with France then I found a bigger hostility towards foreigners. Depends on who and where you live I guess.
There could be 1000 worse places to study at. Eastern Europe, Russia, Greece, large parts of Central Europe etc.
In general I have found Scandinavians to be very liberal and SECULAR, reserved and not openly hostile. In private they might be. I hear that quite a lot are actually.
I assume it is similar to the Netherlands which I also have visited and found the Dutch similar to Scandinavians especially Danes.
Also Muslims have a big presence in Copenhagen and there are many communities and whole good neighborhoods full of Muslims from across the world. In fact I believe that 1/4 of every person is a Muslim in Copenhagen or at least has Muslim background.
