This is a shameful act, regardless of who commited it.

In january 29 there were reports of a very similar incident against this very tomb (Umar bin abdul aziz), the culprit was said to be Asad aligned forces but if you read the actual report you,l see that no hard evidence exist for that, the incident was supposedly first reported by syrian news agancy Sana which belongs to Asad.

I am referring to the Iranian Shiites who defend the Iranian state from criticism and at the same time spout nonsense about "Shia-Sunni Unity". This is made quite clear with my reference to Solaimani, the speech given by the Vizier i-Azam of Iran in Hyderabad, India and their militias. If there are Pakistani Shiites who also use this same rhetoric but are quite active in supporting the Iranian regime and what their proxies do, then this goes for them as well.
If someone in Pakistan supports Iran is there anything wrong with it? This is a democratic country.

lol is this a joke? Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, UAE have all been funding Sunni extremist groups for years. Turkish backed groups in Idlib commit war crimes on a daily basis.

Let’s not forget how many soldiers had to die protecting Zeinab Shrine in Damascus during this war from the horde of Sunni headchoppers who wanted to desecrate her grave. But of course Sunni community has nothing to say about that.

Sunnis have been blowing up mosques and doing suicide attacks on schools and civilians for decades, suddenly one group of individuals commits an act and it’s Iran and the entire Shiite community sponsored it? Get real

This is exactly why I cannot stand so called Muslims like yourself. When your fellow Sunnis commit war crimes over the decades, Sunni community is strangely silent and refuse to condemn them. But suddenly one bad apple commits a crime and you come to the conclusion all Sunnis are being persecuted by Shiites.

Get real man, the amount of Shiites killed at Sunni hands since the dawn of Islam is on the level of genocide. You can’t whitewash or revise the crimes that have been committed.

Don’t be the Sunni guy trying to play the sectarian victim card.
Many Sunnis did not and do not support the atrocities by ISIS, Al Qaeada and the TTP.

A maternity hospital was attacked by terrorists in Afghanistan and infants & mothers were killed in cold blood by ISIS ... because they were Shia/Hazara?

The mostly Sunni TTP/JuA massacred over 100 innocent children in the APS tragedy - just these two crimes are far more reprehensible than a grave being desecrated, but Sunnis condemned these crimes. A majority of Sunnis don’t support these crimes much like a majority of Shia don’t support crimes by Shia militant groups in Syria.

It’s not clear to me at all. You’ve obviously got a good command of the English language so, next time, put in a little more effort and clearly specify that you are not referring to all Shia and only talking about a very specific group of militants.

We don’t call out the sect of DAesh or Al Qaeda or TTP every time they carry out a massacre of innocent men, women and children by saying “these Sunni/Deobandi/Wahabi pissants’ so extend the same courtesy to the Shia community and refrain from implicitly or explicitly maligning them with posts such as the OP and attaching their sect with the actions/policies of the Iranian or Assad regime or various militant groups.

Please edit your OP if you still can or I will.

They are not Muslims at all if they did this,
these criminals should bring into justice.

No offense, but I can't help but feel that sometimes you and the PDF moderators are too tolerant when it comes to situations like this. I have received infractions and negative points for much, much less than this. The OP has written a long scroll of insults over a fake news against Iranians and Shi'a people and has started a sectarian sh*t-show and yet he hasn't received even a negative point for all his insults distributed in several posts. Many of his posts, and some other people's, were insulting enough to deserve infractions.

I don't want to interfere in your job; I'm just telling you my opinion as an Iranian. I don't find it fair.

And I don't mean only him. There's also another guy called Ber123 or something who is doing the same and gets away with it without any negative points or infractions I guess.

They will be brought to justice my brother, if not in this dunya then on the day of ressurection.

Whilst definitely evil, I don't think this is something which causes them to be disbelievers.

I haven't come across such thing, can you post it?

Like that one:
The Baniyas Massacre: Why Assad Did It.

I suggest you to scroll down.
You have no idea justice is but have patience, you will have it.
Or you could look at the tens of thousands of Pakistanis brutally massacred at the hands of the ‘Sunni/Wahabi/Deobandi’ TTP/LEJ/JuA etc in Pakistan.

As someone from a predominantly Shia family that has suffered its own losses in sectarian conflict, I know what ‘justice’ is, and it isn’t obtained by massacring innocents or rejoicing in the massacre of innocents of the opposite sect - justice is obtained by massacring those who committed the crimes or are part of the organizations that committed the crimes.

The shrine is 14 km from Turkish border & that area is under Turkish control not Iran. If someone wants to push geo political propaganda good for them don't bring it here. Iranian forces are 45 km away from the shrine. The news is good for people who are not aware of the situation at homes. This is a defence blog here people know too much.

Iran-backed groups exhume shrine of Muslim caliph Omar bin Abdulaziz in Syria's Idlib

Iran-backed terrorist groups have raided a shrine in Syria believed to be where Umayyad caliph Omar bin Abdulaziz is buried in the northwestern Idlib province and made off with the remains inside.

Video footage published by pro-regime pages on social media Tuesday showed terrorist groups exhuming the grave in the town of Deir Sharqi near Maarat al-Numan city.

Another video showed the grave opened and emptied. No information was available about where the remains buried inside were moved.

In February, Bashar Assad regime forces set fire to the area around the shrine when they took control of the town, causing material damage.

Omar bin Abdulaziz was the eighth Umayyad caliph and his ancestry goes back to Omar bin al-Khattab, the second Muslim caliph and a companion of Prophet Muhammad.

Omar bin Abdulaziz was named the fifth righteous caliph of Islam for his adherence to justice during his rule of two years and five months.

Side note:

There's your brotherhood. Shiites are free to adore the Assad regime, mourn Solaimani in the streets and support their militias, meanwhile guilt-tripping Sunnis into feeling that we create a "structurally unbalanced Islam" - good, let's take that unbalance all the way.

Sunnis kowtowing to self-flagellating mountain rabble pissants to prove that they are "peaceful" and want "unity" never cease to disgust me.

@Taimur Khurram Watch me get called a "sectarian bigot" by a few Pakistani secularists on this forum. The Iranian Vazīr-e Azam has the audacity to give a speech about brotherhood between Sunnis and Shiites in Hyderabad whilst his forces commit hefty war crimes.

May Allah never allow these criminals to know any rest and peace in this life and the next.
Jahnnam kay kuthay.
Most of these shrines are fake since the Abbasid destroyed their graves they have no known location much like many of Shia and Sufi shrines are also fake

I have fixed my OP, and stance more clear with who I am referring to.

This is not true. Non-Iranian shias overwhelming support Iran's wars in the middle east which means wars fought by it's militias. Many times I bring up a crime to them and they call it "ISIS propaganda" or "fabricated". It's not for no reason so many pakistani shias mourned Qassem Soleimani who was the man who coordinated these militias.

Go to a shia majority forum online and ask them to condemn shia militias in the middle east and you'll be proven wrong. They love the militias, they love hezbollah, they justify their presence in Syria by saying they're guarding a specific shrine.

This is not even me being sectarian, it's a very observable fact when you question them about these topics.
