"On the Western side the same type of activity is being undertaken, again by using the diplomatic hospitality of other neighbours," Zarif said.

The thing is, Iran may be Shia. But they are Muslim.

I do not see us cementing ties strong enough to the detriment of our adversaries with us being increasingly seen as a Muslim-phobic people.

Its a Catch 22 situation.

Maybe 2019 will provide the solution. If the damage has not been irreparable by then ....

Cheers, Doc

.
Both Iran and Saudia are at it once again.

We have tried our best in the past to play a mediator between the two, we held back and didnt joined the Saudia led alliance which was a source of concern for Iran. We we did get involved, we offered Iran to join alongside us but this time, they refused. In short, BOTH OF THEM ARE ACTING STUPID.

As a friend just said to me, "That attack on Iranian guards was an unfortunate incident but pls to both of them keep us out of your issues our gov is gonna be in a tough spot in the next few days i really hope they stay neutral in all of this.". I AGREE.

We should not get involved in this mess and should just keep trying for all those who are acting foolish here to come to terms for the greater interest of Muslim world. It is really painful to see how we are fighting each other. SAD!

Seriously? You think this is how geo politics works? China is shutting down mosques and banning azans, I don't see the Pakistanis complaining. There is only one true religion I.e self interest which alone will guide international decisions and relationships.
If trump's US can have good relations with the Saudis, why can't India have that with Iran?

I think when it comes to Muslims, this is how their politics works.

Islam itself is a complete way of life for them. Which includes things like commerce, politics, jurisprudence.

This is my belief.

In that case, I don't think Indians will change their voting patterns only for the sake of good relations with the Muslim world.

iranian official is talking about ISIS here not Jandullah. this statement about ISIS should be taken with pinch of salt because IS is very much anti Saudia and had been involved in attacks in KSA.
jandullah had been supported by CIA even as per Iranian intelligence.
