IRAN 140 ... Turbofan version!

After first generation's engine failures now they are working on another version with turbofan engine (55 kN each)

Hopefully we will get rid of the Ukrainian turboprop ...

وی افزود: هواپیمای گشت دریایی ایران 140 در 2 مدل تعریف شده است که مدل اول آن تمام شده و نیروها هم تست کرده‌ و از عملکرد آن راضی بوده‌اند و درحال برنامه‌ریزی برای استفاده از آن هستند.

* مونتاژ نهایی مدل ترابری ایران140 در سال آینده

منطقی تاکید کرد: ساخت قطعات مدل ترابری ایران140 نیز تا پایان امسال تمام می‌شود و در بهار سال آینده مونتاژ نهایی آن به پایان می‌رسد.

مدیرعامل سازمان صنایع هوایی نیروهای مسلح همچنین مطرح کرد: در مدل ترابری، چون باید بار سنگین‌تری جابجا شود، باید موتوری با توان بالاتر روی آن گذاشته شود که الان موتورهای مناسب پیدا شده است و دنبال این هستیم تا ببینیم به کدام یکی از این موتورها برای پشتیبانی دسترسی داریم.

* تغییر موتور هواپیماهای ایران140 در دستور کار

منطقی در خصوص تغییر موتورهای هواپیماهای ایران 140 نیز اظهار داشت: یکی از بحث‌هایی که ما دنبال می‌کنیم این است که هم قدرت موتور ایران140 باید بالا برود و هم قابلیت اعتماد آن بیشتر شود که در همین راستا پروژه‌های مختلفی تعریف شده است و این موضوع را قبل از وقوع سانحه در تهران هم دنبال می‌کردیم. لذا این موضوع را حتما دنبال می‌کنیم و طرف مناسب را که پیدا کنیم این کار را انجام می‌دهیم.​

(1) Is Iran really so much advanced to make Turbofan Engine itself? or Iran is getting any help from Russ

(2) Even if Iran succeeds in making such Turbofan Engine, how long will it take to introduce it for civilian aircraft purpose?

(3) After Engines, will Iran be able to produce 100% Iran-140 domestically, or still they have to buy parts from Ukraine?

(4) Saudia is also going to produce Ukrainian aircraft. Why Saudia is not going to get this same Engine problem that Iran had to face?

And also, Iran didn't actually have a good experience with Ukrainians in general. They used every loophole they could to delay or prevent the transfer of technologies they were supposed to. That's one of the many reasons IrAn-140 was doomed from the start.

If the Engine is only 12,000 lbf then it's an Iranian engine and if you can produce J-85 then you can produce a civilian 12,000 lbf turbofan engine and Iran has been working on it's own Civilian Turbofan engine

And what parts from Ukraine are you referring too? Yes the engines were purchased and Iran had plans to produce them but as everyone knows they had too many problems so much so that Iran Airlines are now buying Italian ATR 72's to be used as their Turboprop fleet which will also give Iran insight to develop more reliable Turboprop engines based on the design of one of the best & largest Turboprop engine producers in the world

As for an Iranian turbofan engine civilian airliner there is no telling if this project will be successful or how far it will actually go and since Iran is buying a bunch of new aircrafts they may not have the budget to invest highly on such a project so for now I would say this is mainly R&D and how far it will go will be based on the performance of the prototype after a few years of testing and the cost of development vs buying!

is any relation between buying some super jet 100 and new turbofan engins for ir 140?
or not?

Guys i don't can finish this till 2019, it will probably face some delays.

Iran cant use those plane for military purpose while if they manage to fix Ir-140 engine problem then they can use it in roles like Airborne radars or maritime patrol or light transport roles
