Low squadrons decreases the defensive capabilities of a country if you don't know it.

PAF being 3 times smaller in area compare to India has 26 squarons while India has only 32 squadrons

Other than Su-30 IAF doesn't have anything to challenge PAF. Since its acquisition in IAF 6 fighter jets have crashed which shows how its maintained in IAF .

I think its about time Pakistanis face the reality. Back in the day it was the day of dogfights where saber in good hands could knock out mig-21. Now those days are gone and everything is BVR. Do understand main frontline fighter is F-16 which may not be 100% reliable in war time and 2nd line is JF-17 which is a decent fighter but it can not hold against superior 4th gen fleet which also happens to be in quantity. Pak needs a lots of long range SAMs that can close the gap. PAF also needs 4.5 gen along with 5thgen MRCA in next 5-10 years to keep up with IAF.

India will ensure its qualitative and quantitative superiority vis-a-vis PAF now and for the foreseeable future too.
Indian economic growth allows it the luxury to spend on its military better than Pakistan.
The best possible outcome for Pakistan is to ensure that a confrontation with India does not occur any time soon.

Do not blame the countries financial resources for the present situation of PAF, this (JF-17) is the best that it can provide now.

Finance can be increased by gov of pakistan by improving the economy and there is no way that PAF can list herself by issuing stocks ... another quicker and targeted way is to launch commercial products from organizations like HIT, NESCOM and Kamra and privatised them after making them profitable but privatised the manaement only and keep the majority shares

In those early days of the war----indian pilots were not fully trained on the mig21---and the sabre had a better wvr missile.
