Americans simply cannot invade and occupy Pakistan... They can damage it but occupation is simply out of the question...

and they dont want to damage Pakistan openly... their plan is to keep it destablized for as long as possible and let India move in for the kill in the future...

Dude it will also ensure that no one ever dares invade Pakistan because it is not in the interest of anyone to have a nuclear radioactive wasteland where India and Israel used to be... It amazes me that Indians of all people do not understand what people are trying to say...

ever thought of a possibility that Pakistan might be in the same wasteland you are mentioning? if India and/ or Israel are turned into wasteland? how easily you decided the fate of over a billion people is shocking man.. by the way you might wana check out how much time does it take to arm a nuclear missile.. even if its given a go ahead.. from moving it out of storage to the firing site.. assembling, arming, fueling.. putting the coordinates and firing it all takes a lot of time.

dont worry, Americans wont invade Pakistan unless TTP can officiate the public executions in the consitution avenue in Islamabad..

at present there is more chance that r Somalia may attack Pakistan...no kidding.. Somalis are pretty much pissed off that we forced a lot of our Arab brothers out of out tribal areas into their country where these glorious brothers of Arabia are selflessly putting Jihad and fatwas on the flat arses of Somalis .. a country which was happy having an ethinic strife only now has fatwa wielding righteous soldiers to face as well who wont settle for less than 72 virgins.

your question reminds me of a PTV drama back in the good old days somehere 1988-89 called "Baa Adab Ba Mulakhita Hoshyar" which was a comedy drama by Karachi centre about a fictional place of the time of Kings.. where a King and his daughter are forcefully kept as "guests" by a powerful king..

so the princess asks his father why dont he just ask the host king to order his troops to escort them to their country's borders.. to which the King replies to his daughter... i wont dare ask this question otherwise he will move the borders of his country to the door steps of my palace.

the point is.. you dont want to dare America to find a supply route.. if the inevitable happens they will simply "park" one of their fleets present in the Pacific in the Karachi/ Gawader port.. which will solve the supply route problem for them. secondly this will be an oppertunity of a lifetime for India and it would handover any port to Americans if they need one. so lets not go into a hypothetical senerio here.. and lets not be over optomistic about our capability here.. this time they wont be coming in boats like D-Day landing.. their usual tactic is a barrage of cruise missiles, followed by high altitude stealth bombers and by then their opposing military is virtually disimated.

need of support from allies will be a major need,i have doubts if india will support US here,about israeli involvement i have no idea although iranian intervention might draw attention at tel aviv.

I believe that Americans are not planning to destroy Pakistan but we never know. They have plans for everybody and not just Pakistan. I hope that the debacle of Afghanistan does not leads to our downfall.

In addition, comments like we are no Iraq and pissed off 170 million people do not scare America. That nation has the resources to deal with any nation and annihilate it, regardless of what happens in retaliation.

Point is that we (Pakistani) need to get up on our feet and stop depending upon WEST for economic treatments. And we also need to work for welfare of our neighbours.

American presence plagues only those regions, which have weaknesses to exploit. This is what people of such regions need to realize; learn from their mistakes; and make their nations strong.

If US and Nato forces want to conduct their own operations in the FATA area i say let 'em. Let them use their weapons and their soldiers, let them face the casualties and loses that PA has been facing. Our forces can set up a defensive parameters around the FATA area to ensure that no militants flee into Pakistan. This will be a win/win situation for Pakistan because if the Nato forces succeed than we are rid of the militant scum, if not, than at least our army wouldn't be facing any more loses. This will also limit the insurgency of the militants supported by our loving neighbor.

I don't think Uncle Sam can afford another Iraq/Afghanistan type operation otherwise they would have attacked Iran by now who are No.1 on their hit list at the moment.
Also on the point of US getting support from India, this is a question for our Indian friends to reply, would they be willing to anger Russia by helping their worst enemy to come and sit right across their border?
Also, what will be China's concern in this? would they be willing to allow USA to camp right next door, have a military base, missile installation and more?

They are even not happy over US presence in Afghanistan so Pakistan is far from this idea. At this moment there is need to strictly clear national decisions over US to keep away and demand to do as we want other wise only AS WE LIKE.

india will not budge they'll be quiet spectators,US will pressurise india as

1)israel just cant be used they cant mobilise their air force or army as iran ,syria stand in the way.

2) turkey,saudi arabia can mobilise but not even in the best dream will they help US here.

lastly india remains as logistically ,geographically it is the best choice but india will have to cross *** which mean india is at war with pakistan ,the govt. will never allow such a thing to happen.

but as i said the minute obama announces on CNN we may attack pakistan,the next second china raises hell in the UNSC

russian involvement ,i think those guys might be upto something from long given their super secretive nature,they'd definately want to get back their afghan experience led to USSR collapse,from a world power they became a struggling regional power.

i doubt china turning into a world war scenario,because that leads to heavy civilian,military casaulties and also all hard work for economic prosperity goes down the drain,they are patient they want to be at level economically with the US once that happens then china will actually flex its muscle.

but given my viewpoint i wouldnt want this to happen to pakistan,yes we may be hostile but i dont want my neigbour to turn into iraq or somalia and face hell.
