Yaar, I know there was a PAF drama by the name, but i can't recall any squadron with such call sign. Perhaps some body could shed light on this.

MRS = Multi Role Squadron.

I am hoping that once JF17 has cleared its FOC and completed all of A2A and A2G tests ... every fighter squadron in Pakistan will be a MRS in itself (taking into account that soon JF17+F16+FC20 will be the entire workforce of PAF).

I reckon Shahpar is an F-16 squadron stationed at Chaklala , they do aerobatics on 23 march ..not sure though

Chaklala basically houses a transport wing and the VIP flights, the only time it has a fighter detachment is during hostilities. In the 80s Mirages were stationed there to protect Kahuta, and in 2002 a detachment of F-7s was kept there. If the need arises, F-16s are deployed at Kamra/Minhas base.
Also PAF currently has two display teams, Sherdil and Shaheen.

We have total 150 JF-17 planned, 60 already operational as according to you and 208 aircraft's to be replaced with remaining 90 JF-17 inducted there are still 118 aircraft's to be replaced. We have no plan to replace them with F-16's and they are being only bought in small number

The Question is how will we fulfill the void of 118 aircraft's

@Windjammer @Horus plz enlighten us on this matter as SU-35 is said to be only a rumor and J-10 is no longer in the wish list
