The fact is there was no evidence which was was clinching.
However the fact is a lot of hindus found it insulting the way he puts down other religions and specifically hinduism by giving very frivolous examples.
This has caused a lot of ire towards him.
Further this with shady source of funds it gives the govt a good stick to go after him. Try him for illegal source of funds but I dont think terror charges would stick at this point.

He does selective and out of context recounting. And sometimes he blatantly does false interpretations .
It's just that other religions people are too polite or scared to counter him.

I agree for a few years religious discussions should not be done in public. I would go a step further and stop over the top religious processions in public. Hindus do a lot of these. Theek hai yaar.. we are all born into a religion. Most people take sides of their religion similar to the way they support their country in cricket. Only this is more obsessive. The way we practise religion is very culture bound rather than religion bound.. anyway my thoughts.

No. I am not against religious meetings, public addresses and processions, conducted by the followers of any religion. What I am saying is that a critical analysis and discourse, on any established religion, shall not be allowed in public.
