That's backwards. The U.N. declared on purely political grounds that the pursuit of Assange was "arbitrary" whereas the Swedes continued to pursue Assange until the statute of limitations expired: https://www.vox.com/world/2017/5/19/15662852/sweden-rape-assange-wikileaks-ecuador-london. Assange is still wanted in the U.K. for failure to appear in court but I don't know if Interpol still has a red card on him.
