So a few days back a column appeared on the satirical website Khabaristantimes.com about Maulana Diesel calling for a military operation against jeans wearing women and blaming them for earth quakes

It got picked up in the social media because well it was damn funny but some people including some members on this forum took this a wee bit seriously and believed that this was an actual quote from the Maulana.....
It doesn't end here this was then picked up by the stupid Bharti media with headlines splashing "Pakistani cleric/politician blames jeans wearing women for earth quakes"

I hate the guy more than anything but notice the media particularly Bharti media jumping on this without doing even basic research just so they could have a headline about some crazy retard Pakistani.

This all reminds me of the Onion story that Iran's news agency ran a while back and the Western Media were all laughing and poking fun at them for.

Not sure if the likes of CNN, Huffington Post or CBS ever ran the story since I couldn't find them having done so, unless they took them down, and I'm guessing they were smarter than the likes of the Daily Mail in the UK or Fox News in the US which I'd have expected them to be.

However, that doesn't excuse the fact that the Daily Mail and Fox News did:

I think many people do realize its a satirical article but if you ask me had he been asked to comment on such a thing, this article wouldn't be far from his response.

But as far as media goes, it thrives on "OH MY GOD! LOOK AT THIS RIDICULOUS "TRUE" STORY!".

Oh you cant be serious... Its bcz of crap like this i say that common sense is named wrong. it should be rare sense since its found very rarely amongst humans. Amazing and without a doubt they should be sued for defamation so that onc and for all they can be taught a lesson.
