It's an armoured personnel carrier and not a Tourist Bus or walking side, soldiers sit on seats and don't need to stand on it.
Russian armored vehicles are more agile and quickly, high survivability,Simple and not complicated for users.
as i know the quality of Russian armored vehicles always was better than the west models.
