1. In the kitchen

You can build all of the stuff at a later date, get a good looking woman first! :D

@Talon, love the thread.... please keep it up!

@Manticore, you will enjoy this!
Haha exactly my thought! Without a hot wife/gf I have no interest in luxurious houses.

Ok here are a few more from another website :enjoy:

1. Lower your living room to create a conversation pit.

2. Turn an attic nook into a pillow room

3. Display your book collection under the stairs.

4. Or use the space underneath for storage.

5. Or use that space for a book nook.

6. Dogs are people, too, which is why your dog should probably get his or her own little haven underneath the stairs. ( @Hyperion )

grid-cell-11075-1388769001-10.jpg

7. Make space for two dishwashers instead of one.

ive atleast 300 pics of interior of kitchen -- helped my mom in not travelling to a lot of shops --- just too many to post here

8. If you’re doing a HUGE remodel, ask your contractor about tacking on a treehouse or guesthouse. ( I have lived in something similar but that was for research in the forest and it was like a forest station guesthouse :ashamed: )

This add-on might cost less than you think.

9. Turn your shabby garden shed into a charming artist’s shed.

With big windows for lots of light and visual inspiration

10. Install an in-wall pest control system.

Pest-tube installation means that all the exterminator has to do is inject some stuff into one end to keep insects and rodents away.

11. Maximize your space with baseboard drawers.

enhanced-buzz-22820-1386002240-43.jpg

Especially in the kitchen and bathroom.

12. Consider a hidden room ( this is awesome)

Sometimes it’s as simple as adding a bookcase to a door.

the one thing i wanted to do but not doing is transparent tiles and water flowing underneath

A couple of things...
1) Ask some of your women friends about what they think of dark colors. I know most of your pics are of a modern "white" look but I noticed you seemed to lean towards darker colors in the kitchen cabinets.

2) How about an enclosed garage instead of a carport? You can keep your car(s) and some tools/machines in there where they will be safe.

3) Retractable roof enclosed pool. Some house I have been to have a pool that you can waltz right into just like any other room in the house. It has high glass walls with some kind of curtain/blind that can be rolled across for privacy. Rain or shine and day or night you can enjoy your pool.

furniture wont be in dark shade.. although dark is in vogue here but its lifeless

i want the porch to feel as if its a part of the lawn via continuity of the grass without compartmentalization

13. Make your walls MAGNETIC. (not sure if that is good for health)
enhanced-buzz-32443-1386003709-29.jpg

Magnektik makes large magnetic panels that are strong enough to hang anything, including shelves and TVs.

14. An S-shaped seat turns your shower or steam room into one you can LIE DOWN IN.

enhanced-buzz-10561-1386025144-38.jpg

Insane in le bain.

15. Have an extra-tall ceiling? Stretch a ceiling hammock across it. (the other site also gave this one)

enhanced-buzz-2908-1388182810-10.jpg

16. A walk-in shower means NO GLASS TO CLEAN. (Looks like the toilet of some hotel I was in once)

And they even fit into small bathroom spaces.

17. Install chutes in your kitchen for your trash and recycling. (Russian style )!!

enhanced-buzz-6635-1388183085-1.jpg

Funnel them straight into the garage.

18. A platform in a storage/guestroom hides away all of your stuff while keeping the room usable.

It’s also a great way to make a comfy nook room more functional.

I have motion detector lights in my house. When I waltz down to the kitchen late at night these little lights come on so I don't have to bother looking for a switch and it doesn't hit me in the eyes full blast like the regular lights. I even have them in the bathroom. They shutoff after like 30 seconds of non-movement. A little touch that goes a long way.
