Interceptor missile mission a ‘failure’

Beauty of accuracy of this article in its last line
That none of the indian BMD tested ever at altitude of 120 km ever

This 13 th test of india BMD as system

Last this news is never reported by any other news sources accept hindu dipict how credible news this is

.

The Hindu is the most credible medium in print today.

The best part of this Indian BMD development is the massive curiousity
it has generated --- Enemies would be very keen
to know its status -- Success / Failure / Deployed / operational / S 400 / AAD etc etc

It will help us to CATCH Spies who will try to find out our secrets

What do these indians doing on this website ? they don't have balls to send spies so they start spying our military forums?

Isn't The Hindu the most credible Indian news site.

It is, and many mistakes, exaggerations and PR pieces of the government cannot withstand its critical survey, so it is assaulted by bhakts every now and then.

P.S. I have to add that @cerberus has explained his point of view very well in post #15.

Yes sir its not medium but its the sources

And sources are incorrect when it comes to defense matters in india

There lots articles printed in hindu including Mmrca saga that was not credible in the past

So im only going by trend

Other sources like indian express or Diplomat
Also credible there reporting on this test was objective and on facts

Unlike in this hindu article where author used false arguments to support his reporting

Much like using 120 km altitude argument

Both AAD & PAD/PDV are only capable to intercept target at 80-100 km altitude at best

Whether it was success or failure, regardless, it will give us all excuse to start our own anti Ballistic Missile shield program. Just like "smiling buddha" did back in 70s.

Whether its a failure or not the fact is that these guys are trying and naturally when you try something you are bound to get failed a couple of times before success. Point being India is determinable to acquire ABM capability and sooner or latter they will. Question is what have we done to counter it?

The Hindu , Bhakts. Ironic isn't it.

Heh. Yes. And they are the most anti-bhakt of papers!

The Hindu was part of the famous triumvirate of Mount Road. All three run by Tam Brams, run to the highest standards of integrity and upright dealings, and famous for their conservative attitude. The other two were the TVS Sundaram Iyengars, and the Amalgamations Group. It rocked Madras to its foundations when Venu Srinivasan of the TVS family married Mallika Sivasailam, daughter of A. Sivasailam. They both kept their business independence, but are an iconic couple in the Indian business world: never a whiff of scandal, never a shadow of doubt.

And that's where The Hindu comes from.

Highest standards of integrity who can't get simple facts right which could have simply been googled :D
Whats next, you don't have to stand up during a National anthem ?....oh wait...you support that too :hang2:

So it had interesting beginnings as well.
Truly, The Hindu stands out amongst other papers in India.
We in Pakistan have the likes of Dawn in the category of 'independent papers'.(Founded by Muhammad Ali Jinnah himself in 1941)

Since Ashwin is a Prithvi variant and the only of its kind tested a week back the link is likely talking about Ashwin (but not stating so) , would like to understand how Indian experts are receiving this news below.

Ashwin interceptor is not a variant of Prithvi.
Prithvi is an Liquid fueled missile weighing 4.4 tons, and 9M in length and about 100 cms in diameter, Ashwin is a solid fueled missile 7.5 m (25 ft) tall, weighs around 1.2 t (1.2 long tons; 1.3 short tons) and a diameter of less than 0.5 m (1 ft 8 in).
Your contention is incorrect to begin with.

The article here deals with anonymous source, compared to certified sources of other outlets. So the question really is validity of the news article. Hopefully DRDO will come out with an explanation.

Only a retard like your self will try to run down a successful project just to spite the "Bhakts". What makes you think the "sources" in this news paper is more credible than a govt. agency. ? Your paranoid Bhaktophobia ?
Dude, Please be respectful to other members, Everyone has an opinion to express, do not hurl personal attacks just because they differ in opinion.

The Hindu is the most reputed newspaper in India. No doubt about that .
But I truly believe that there is some suspicion about this news .DRDO didnt show any hesitation until now, even if their test is failure they will publicly acknowledge that.
But so far none comes with an explanation and no others news sites couldnt find that 'credible' source .
So there is a problem in there.

Point taken.

As you know, The Hindu usually is a little later than others in printing news, because they check and re-check with the utmost care. This is a new departure. I am not sure that this is representative of their style.
