Insulting armed forces should be legally banned in Pakistan

Yes - there is no evidence of the military rigging the elections of 2008 (won by the PPP) 2013 (won by the PMLN ) and 2018 (won by the PTI). The election results were largely in line with various opinion polls and independent election monitors reported no large scale irregularities that would have changed the outcome.

Seriously? Had there been any evidence in past 72 years against Military? Evidences are possible where there is free environment, people are free to express themselves, free press, free government and an independent , unbiased judicial system......Is it the case there?

How innocent. Military in Pakistan doesn't stand in elections but make puppets and has been driving each and every institution, government of Pakistan since 1960s....can you deny it?....If you give examples of UK,US....also equate that how much interference their military has in day today affairs....Here in Pakistan, Military has the whole country at it's disposal....all media channel prime time talk-shows have one Military panellist giving opinion on from treatment of Covid-19, to distribution of funds to needy.....see the level on interference...it's no hidden secret and everyone know this in the world.
Besides, allowing criticising or not.....do you think people criticising military in Pakistan go on living for long?...

They even called the sister of Quad e Azam a traitor!

Think about that for a minute. The sister of the person who struggled and fought for Pakistan is a traitor while these free eating lazy oppressors puppets of other countries took over Jinnahs hard work.

What chance does a normal person have when the sister of founding father is a traitor speaking against military.

Pakistan should follow US model on this matter.

I have seen the elite professional class of Pakistanis calling Army men, FA, BA pass Generals, who has no knowledge of economics, latest digital technology and governing Pakistan to its expansion and success.

Another common talk is the Army men are selfish for themselves, and if their interests hurt, then they will only act.

Banning will only give chance to hate against Pakistan Armed Forces more, the natural goodwill and immense love Pakistanis have for Armed Forces now, will be gone. Constructive criticism should be allowed against Armed Forces, and below the belt should be punished hard.

No you can't.
Politicians rule the country and their every move is to be watched by public.
Military doesn't stand in elections and doesn't need to be watched by public.
Also politicians don't fight wars. Military does.
Politicians don't die every day defending the country, the military does.
You cannot force them soldiers to fight and lose lives for you after insulting them , and you need to be thankful to them for for doing so.

But you can insult or criticize politicians, they Will still want to rule you.

Plus your type of silly logic is not harped in any other country of the world.

I live in UK. Even The queen gets criticized everyday, the military doesn't.

How nice of you to give the Americans freedom of choice?
But is same thing happened in Pakistan , you would be ready to blow yourself up.

In UK the military does not get criticized because unlike our military they havent done 4 coups , thrown away constitutions of the country , neither are their generals corrupt like ours.

No officer is FA.
Major and below ranks are BA.
Lt Col and above are Masters or Double Masters and have other qualifications.

So Generals are not FA and BA pass.
Now compare that with the qualifications of those who rule the country.
Defense minister has zero knowledge of defense. But he should run the army , just because a few thousand people voted for him.
Same goes for every minister and there's the major flaw in the si called democracy.

Problem is not with democracy, democracy is an ideal system if the system for which people are being elected democratically is aligned to the qualifications of the average man of that society. A democratically elected person in a country like Pakistan is never going to have qualifications to head any department of government in Pakistan because the whole governing system is non-indigenous imported from Britain and imposed by the establishments of this country on the electoral college of democracy (average people) of Pakistan. You just cannot blame electoral democracy for bad choices for ministers for various governing departments of Pakistan, this governing system is just not evolved on our land or by our own people living in this land for centuries.

Army/ all services have PhDs in Engineering, medical and Humanities disciplines and that too from top universities of US, Europe and Australia. The clowns who think officers in services are BA know balls about the military system. Army has a good percentage of soldiers who are more than Higher Secondary School level.

And those who are qualified most of the are part of sugar, flour or petroleum cartels.

Because they don't have any PML which keeps changing to N,Q,C,F,J and God knows how many factions at different timings comprising almost same people / families. They don't have a PPP which only believes in making money without doing any welfare for the people. Actually both main stream parties are corrupt to their nails and present ruling party in federation as of now is not as efficient as it should have been. I am afraid after 5 years we may term it as most incompetent government though not as much corrupt.

If government is corrupt its not the armys responsibility to poke its nose inside. Majority of the generals are worth millions and have posh properties and acres of farm acquired through different illegal techniques. They should take care of their own corruption before talking about other branches of the country

There is nothing as illegal means, every benefit is covered by some law, rule, regulation or a procedure, though we may have an opposite opinion regarding mentioned things. Secondly no politician in the world has invited enemy's rulers or influential businessmen to their private functions without visa and or adopting standard procedures, neither politician has refuted the line of blood drawn by millions of migrants during partition and no politician has ever promised to compromise biggest capability of country.

I love my Pakistan and our Armed Forces, but we cannot allow ourselves to become a closed society, you improve through love, not fear.

I would rather the love for our Armed Forces is the same on the lips as in the heart, then hear false praise when the heart might be full of anger.

Plus, constructive criticism is always good for the country and society, banning everything results in suffocation and regressive developments.
