Shame there's been 0 pictures/vids of the Viky in Indian hands and especially with IN MiG-29Ks operating off of her.

There would have been an opportunity with the "Day at Sea" Dr MMS was meant to be a part of but this seems to have been either postponed or cancelled for various reasons. Maybe the next PM will get this opportunity?

Brahmos and Nirbhay on Viki? May be Brahmos-M on Migs but not before 2018-20 I think.

Not to ruin anyone's jubilation, but this first deployment is just to ratify operational procedures and hone seamen skills for daily operations.

The priority for this deployment would be to generate performance statistics which can be repeated again and again to precision, in effect giving us the optimal and maximum operational limits for the different functions.

These functions would include,(but not just limited to) :
1. Sustained (long term) sortie generation rate & Peak (short term) sortie generation rate.
2. Sustained & peak aircraft launching and landing rates.
3. Aircraft rearmament and de-armament rates.

We are still some time away from being combat capable with this ship.
