until 2024 Indonesian Navy want to acquire at least seven more Submarine vessels with the utmost requirement is local production/assembly and spare parts manufacturing license. Medium terms goal is to be capable to designing and producing indigenous submarine vessels capable to operate in green and blue water operation and sophisticated enough to compete with foreign design, the target to achieve such ambitious capability is by 2030.
