There will be no chance for it since current Indonesian government was lead by secular Nationalist party (PDI-P), it will be only possible under Islamist lead administration (To accept Muslim refuges)

Foreigners though can get Indonesian citizenship if they have permit to work in here minimal for 5 years. Muslim immigrants which is not at large number are usually helped by local authority, it is why there are US immigrants during 9/11 that have become Indonesian citizens and there are Syrian/Turkish/Maroccon that come to Indonesia and become street vendor selling kebab.

Many Aceh people themselves are actually descendant of South Asian, it is because the location is close with South Asian.

I dont think Bali has a caste system between the common folk. As I said Javanese in the old time use to have different language, the upper class people use their own language to each other and the lower rank class use another language. But as the Republic is emerging since 1945 that promote equality and social justice, that culture is e eroding. And the use of national language, bahasa Indonesia, that is actually a Malay language, across the nation make the segregation between upper class and lower class people that is imposed by previous culture getting smaller and smaller over time

You never been Myanmar. I traveled in Myanmar more than once. I been from Yangon to Mandalay by road. I been Techilek, the Golden Triangle.

I also been Chinese Kachin state.

I trek along mountains of Thailand and border towns that host Kachin, Karen, Shan refugees.

Rohingya wage insurgencies while those in Yangon do not.

That makes a difference.

What I see is racial harmony in Yangon. By observation, Yangon has a lot of mosque, a lot of mosque. There are a lot a lot of Muslims, and female in Hijab. Yangon could be 20% Muslims.

Surely if Rohingya behave like Chinese Indonesian, Myanmar army is going to kiss them and wish them long life.

Unfortunately many PDF bigots choose not to see the atrocities of cry baby Rohingya. At elsewhere, these PDF Muslims or Indians keep raising extreme or uncommon cases or just simple using fake news video.

The most religion intolerance state is Saudi Arabia.
