Only One in the World and the Work of the Nation's Children, KSAU Inaugurates the NC-212i Aircraft Simulator Building "Agung Priantoro"

MYLESAT.COM – The inauguration of the NC-212i Aircraft Simulator Building "Agung Priantoro" by KSAU Marshal TNI Fadjar Prasetyo at Lanud Abdulrachman Saleh, Malang (13/01/2023), is something to be proud of. "This is the work of the nation's children," said Marshal Fadjar appreciatively.

KSAU's highlight or emphasis that this simulator is the work of the nation's children, presumably important in the context of the government agenda presented by President Joko Widodo at the beginning of the year. Jokowi asked state stakeholders to further accelerate the increase in the use of domestic products (P3DN) as stated through Presidential Instruction Number 2 of 2022.

In that context, KSAU has also discussed the program specifically with the Deputy Minister of Defense (Wamenhan) Lt. Gen. (Pur) M. Herindra. The Air Force begins 2023 with the construction of facilities that are in line with government programs.

Not only proud of the work of this nation's children, KSAU also said that the NC-212i Aircraft Simulator at Lanud Abdulrachman Saleh is the first in the world.

"The NC-212i Aircraft Simulator at Lanud Abdulrachman Saleh is the first and only one in the world," said Fadjar. The late Grand Captain Priantoro was an aviator of Squadron 4 who died in the line of duty.

Prior to the inauguration of KSAU, a dynamic function test of the Flight Training Device (FTD) of the NC212i Aviocar aircraft was carried out by PT Tabel Aero Pratama as a technical implementer on December 22, 2022.

The simulator building which is behind Air Squadron 21 and equipped with a Flight Training Device is a manifestation of the independence of the domestic defense industry which of course also provides its own primacy value.

"This FTD plays an important role in increasing the aircrew's understanding of the NC-212i aircraft technology that uses modern glass cockpit avionics," explained KSAU.

This FTD facility will be of great help in the training of new airmen or students of the Transport Aircraft Introduction Course or KPTPA, especially on cockpit adaptation materials. So that the airmen who will serve in the transport squadron can be better prepared as professional transport aviators.

KSAU emphasized that Squadron 4 aviators optimize the use of this simulator, in particular simulating conditions of emerconstence in flight.

In recent years, Squadron 4 has become a mainstay in Weather Modification Technology (TMC) operations. "We will urgently need adequate training, especially through the FTD placed in this building," said KSAU.

"As the leader of the Air Force, I hope that with the construction of the NC-212i Agung Priantoro Aircraft Simulator Building, it will support a significant increase in the professionalism and capability of the NC212i flight crew, especially it will further improve safety in aviation missions," explained KSAU.

KSAU Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo reminded users to continue to evaluate the use of this simulator facility, so that it can be improved its utilization potential and quality in the future.

KSAU does not forget to emphasize to maintain and maintain this facility that is not only expensive but also of strategic value. So that it can provide the widest possible benefits for a long period of time.

"Finally, by wishing the blessings of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, today, Friday, January 13, 2023, the Simulator Building and the NC-212i Agung Priantoro Aircraft Flight Training Device at Lanud Abdulrachman Saleh, I hereby declare it officially used."

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Navy will rejuvenate 41 warships based on the Defense Ministry's plan to do so, Naval Chief of Staff, Admiral Muhammad Ali, informed after a flower-sowing ceremony commemorating Dharma Samudera Day 2023 on Monday.

"There will be refurbishment of our warships, especially the old ones, and some of them will undergo mid-life modernization. The Defense Ministry's plan is (to rejuvenate) 41 ships," he added on the main deck of state warship KRI Banda Aceh-593 at the Command of Military Sea Traffic headquarters in Jakarta.

In the first phase, the Navy will prioritize the refurbishment of 8 very old ships. "We will prioritize very old ships that have to be repaired, there are probably 8 of them," Ali said.

The warship rejuvenation plan will consider the capacity of existing shipyards in Indonesia, both those owned by state enterprises and the private sector. This is because the Navy wants to involve domestic shipyards in the revitalization of old warships.

"(The rejuvenation) of 41 ships will be carried out in the country. We will prioritize and involve all domestic shipyards in the construction of warships," he said.

According to him, a similar commitment will be made to strengthen the Navy's military armament system, for instance, in the procurement of snipers and drones.

Ali revealed that his party is still mulling over the best armament that has been offered to the Navy.

"We can buy more sophisticated equipment from overseas, but we still put domestic products first," he said.

Moreover, if it purchases a military armament system from abroad, the Navy will include the transfer of knowledge and technology in the agreement.

In modernizing and improving the combat capabilities of the 41 warships, the Defense Ministry will cooperate with state-owned naval shipbuilder PT PAL Indonesia.

Earlier, on January 3, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto instructed his staff to add more state warships that need to be modernized to maintain the country's defense system.

The program has been approved by Minister of Finance. It will be financed by foreign loan at 750 milllion USD. According to PT PAL, total value of the program, is 900 million USD, so I expect the gap will be financed by local banks/domestic loan.

The refurbishment program is for 41 ships and will be spread to many local shipyard inside the country.

Indonesia has at least 3 state owned shipyard companies and several big private owned shipyard, including PT Batamex. These are all owned by Indonesian nationals.

PT Batamex Shipyard, Batam island.

Jakarta, IDM – Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force (Wakasau) Marsdya TNI A. Gustaf Brugman paid a working visit to PT. Infoglobal Technology Universe (PT. ITS) in Surabaya, Thursday (2/2).

The visit was carried out with the aim of seeing the development of work on upgrading the avionic system of the Hawk 100/200 type fighter belonging to the Air Force (TNI AU).

"Thank you for the cooperation that has gone very well between the Air Force and PT. ITS, especially in the field of upgrading the avionic system of the Hawk 100/200 fighter aircraft," said Gustaf as quoted from a statement from Dispenau, Friday (3/1).

I would say it is more like suicide drone, but the project name is thunder missile (rudal petir).
According to wiki, it is a cruise missile. Hope the best for Indonesia.

For the KF-21 project, are you preparing your own equipments for the aircraft (stand-off weapons, A2A missiles etc...)?

Thank You,

For A2A it will be European missiles (France and German)

For A2G it will be both South Korean and Indonesian developed ones inshaAllah. France is proposing as well.

Smart bomb (Intended for UCAV and fighter planes)

Who knows we can cooperate for the FA-50 project. I know you aren't in it. But the look of the first missiles, aren't they small for a massive aircraft like that?
