Indonesia Breaks Ground on China-backed Green Industrial Park Set to be World's Largest

Blind ideology

Every country has some blind ideology.

Some have religious while others have secular.

Some have capitalist, others have communist.

The only difference here is the 'age'.

Some countries are younger while others are older.

Older ones have found some balance in their ideology. Some more, some less.

Younger ones have trouble finding balance. At first they look way too hardcore, later on they do start to find some balance. Some find it earlier, some take time.

Now why they look so hardcore? There are some usual reasons for that:
- Their surroundings/circumstances in which they were born and live.
- Lack of critical thinking
- Deep paranoia regarding their external(and internal) threats(rightly or wrongly)
- Lack of nation building/identity.

It takes time to develop your nation/country on your ideology. But once you build it through hardwork/patience/luck/good timely decisions, others' ideologies start to look stupid to you simply because your society, your successful society built on your ideology seems to be the only route to success so much so that you even stop believing it as an ideology but the only path to success.

Every nation is different, And every nation needs to find their own path. And every nation should be allowed to pursue that path(provided it's not against others).

This is long term project, that gigantic hydro power plant will only be finished in 2024-2025 according to the plan.

So another new industrial estate in Batang, West Java, where electricity is not a big issue ( just need transmission infrastructure to be built since Java is at large electricity surplus situation) as well as gas pipe infrastructure that will be constructed shortly as there is already gas field near the location, will have more appeal for manufacturers.

I get sense Kalimantan new industrial estate will be for alluminium and bauxit refinery/ smelter projects. Other manufacturing that uses aluminium will be another tenants. This Kalimantan new industrial estate competitive advantage is on the clean and big energy supply from hydropower, bauxit based industry, and cheaper lands ( lower rent than in Java and Sumatra ).

Any industry that needs both aluminium and nickle/ Cobalt will also see it attractive, it is because North Kalimantan is near to Sulawesi island where nickle mining and smelters are centered.

This project will also fasten voluntarily urbanization from Java island into Kalimantan island beside giving manufacturing and management jobs to local Kalimantan people ( majority is Malay ethnic and minority is Dayak ethnic ).

And so? What's the point of such missiles if the country is in a state of quasi bankruptcy and its people/youths are suffering from hunger/ famines and emigrating to the West/soitheast Asia and other Asia countries in droves for a better life?
The point I'm trying to make is that both could have been achieved in a better way without losing control. Blind ideology just like religion in shaping government policy is a recipe for disaster.
Even North Korea has ballistic missiles, nuclear weapons, submarines etc would you say North Koreans citizens are better off with their country/current plight? Lool They just need to look at South Korea to curse their leaders (in their minds obviously lol) in their death bed.
Funny thing is they can achieve both with a rational policy if they abandon that silly ideology

Chairman Mao’s contribution to the revival of China ranks first.

Without the Hydrogen bombs and ballistic missiles of Chairman Mao’s era, China cannot even guarantee national security, so what reform and opening up would it have?

Part of the cause of the famine was policy errors, but the background was the Western blockade of China and the deterioration of Sino-Soviet relations. As for ideology, it is also the hostility of the West towards China. Liberal democracy in the West is really more like religion now!

Yes , I guess North Koreans can also say the same about Eternal Leader Generalissimo Kim Il-sung. The kim family are the guarantors of North Korea , without them North Korens will suffer from western exploitation
Now North Koreans like the Chinese before just Have to travel to other East Asian countries korea, Japan, singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan etc to see just how far behind they were and how much they had been lied to. Ever asked yourself why those that fled China during the 50s to 70s hated the communist party and Mao's policies so much? Its not because they just developed it for the sake of it. Same with how North Koreans who go flee the country despise the Kim's once they get abroad even in China or something Korea and see how much they lag behind. No amount of nuclear weapons/submarines can change their plight. lol nobody is rushing to go to their country ever. Lol that's when you know therr is something wrong, when people are not striving to come to your country. Lol

Because of land reform. CCP's land reform is to seize the land of landlords and distribute the land use right equally to all farmers.
CCP did not recognize private ownership of land from the first day of the founding of the party, and one of its purposes was to eliminate all landlords. China's land reform is violent and cruel, we have destroyed all landlords violently and cruelly. Most landlords who were deprived of their land fled abroad. Of course, they would hate CCP.
Until today, all PRC Land still belongs to the state, and the right to use it belongs to the rural farmers' collective. Every 30 years, the farmers' collective distributes the land equally to each farmer according to the population.
So now we can easily implement any agricultural reform and implement modern agricultural technology. We can easily destroy old villages and transfer the farmers of the whole village to new villages.
The result of China's land reform is that India has 160 million hectares of cultivated land and China has only 1.2 hectares of cultivated land, but China's grain output is 670 million tons and India's grain output is 320 million tons. There are only 300 million farmers in China and 1 billion in India.

BTW: KMT fled to Taiwan after being defeated by CCP, and then KMT Taiwan implemented the same land reform as CCP in 1950s, which is also an important reason for the rapid development of Taiwan's economy. However, in Taiwan's land reform, the Taiwan landlords who be seized the land established the Democratic Progressive Party. Now they overthrew KMT and become the ruling party.

Just like what I have predicted aluminium industry will be one of the industry that is attracted to make a factory in this Bulungan region, North Kalimantan island.

This is Indonesian private sector. The news is also confirmed Indonesian coal company will do diversification of their business to anticipate green economy in the near future

Coal mining giant PT Adaro Energy plans to build a US$728 million aluminum smelter that will run on electricity from renewable sources as it seeks to tap into the growing global supply chain for green-labeled products.

The publicly listed company said in a statement on Thursday that subsidiary PT Adaro Aluminium Indonesia would build the smelter at the upcoming Green Industrial Park in Bulungan, North Kalimantan.

The facility will process alumina into aluminum. “We are optimistic that global demand for aluminum products will rise, especially for cables, batteries and chassis,” said Adaro vice president director Ario Rachmat at a letter of intent signing ceremony on Tuesday.

This also shows coal and oil price will likely remain high for long since many energy companies will invest less on their basic business ( coal and oil ) while put more investment in renewable or do manufacturing business like Adaro Energy. Coal production in Indonesia in 2021 is still less than the production in 2019 despite rising prices this year shows that clearly.

Another big Indonesian coal company like Indika Energy, Bumi Resources and Bukit Asam also do the same.
