Lovely pic, bdw those F-16s are going to stay here for a long time. ;)

Sadly we hear way too less about these exercises, be it interviews, the roles that will be trained and so on, would be very interesting don't you think?

Block 52/52+.

But with additional Israeli EW sensors around the airframe, that's why they look different to PAFs new once.

.
What block does the RSAF fly?

The Republic of Singapore Air Force operates 70 F-16 Fighting Falcons, 62 of which are advanced F-16C/D block 52 aircraft. These aircraft are equiped with state-of the-art armament, including AIM-120 AMRAAM and (presumably) the Israeli Python 4 missile linked to a DASH-3 Helmet Mounted Sight.

A one-month-long joint military training exercise between the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and the Indian Air Force (IAF) will conclude tomorrow.

The RSAF deployed F-16D Block 52+ fighter aircraft to train with the IAF’s Su-30 fighter aircraft during this exercise, which was conducted under the Bilateral Agreement between both air forces.

IIRC this is an old pic- I have seen this a few times before this year.

This is interesting- I didn't know the RSAF used the DASH as the HMDS on their F-16s. What is interesting is they have elected not to go for the US made JHMCS as used on pretty much all other upgraded F-16s (indcluding PAF's) but have gone for a third-party HMDS from Isreal (and the same one used on the LCA btw!). Does this indicate the JHMCS is a poor performer?

What the hell Singapore is doing with the Scatland air force? Oh yes, it is becasue the US had insisted Singapore to train with the Scatlanders in view of strengthening the interoperability of all Asian againsnt China given also that it is the US who is supplying the main weaponry to Singapore.
Singapore is a Chinese country, all Singaporeans except the 5% black manba tamil, are pro-China and want to pay tribute and return to visit their mainland country. Singapore is mainly doing business with China and Mandarin, the Han language, is spoken and written fluently by all Chinese Singaporeans. So what the hell Singapore is doing with Scatland?.

Tamil form 10pc and malays from 14pc with European 4 pc. Hope labourers are treated well there.

Singapore, being a city state, has a shortage of land and airspace to effectivly train its pilots in Sinagapore as such the RSAF sought out a freindly nation with the correct infrastructure with whom to enter into an agreement to train on their soil. India naturally was more than hospitable to the Singaporean's call for assistance. As such the RSAF now has atleast 1 SQD of advanced F-16 BLK 62s based at an Indian AFB year round for training purposes, for which it compensates the IAF for of course. It is just an added bonus for India that it gets a close (very close) look at a more advanced version of the birds its main threat flys and gets to train with them. I've heard of Aggressor SQDs but the IAF has got to have the best deal in the world- getting intimate knowledge of an adversary's front line fighter and getting paid to do so!!

+ there is a similar deal with the Singarporean army in India as well!
