Indo-French joint military drill in Bikaner this month

"The joint exercise would focus on counter terrorism operations in the backdrop of semi-urban terrain."

We cant forget that we both France and India has been victim of terror attacks in urban areas. - mumbai and paris. I think we need more such exercise for the worse times. Its always better to be prepared.

Yes sir and from our side garwhal regiment is relatively young as compared to French side but active from 1887. It has 30 battle honors and is highly decorated regiment..

The unit has been put through a strenuous training schedule to prepare for the exercise, which includes firing, combat conditioning, tactical operations, heli-borne operations among others.
