Indigenous Shahed-216 attack Helicopter Project revealed for first time

So it's an upgraded cobra!
interesting...
Kollang is right, it is another project for Army aviation not Shahed-216, I have mentioned it in one of my previous post:

As you mentioned, Army Aviation Yal ali industries and MODAFL have another project which is more in line with AH-1 family.

I was so ****ing right !!! :)

TV3VMA

20151125_131322.jpg

So the Shahed-216 comes with a Russian or Ukrainian TV3 engine that Iran could potentially produce under license

The Shahed-444 comes with a British engine

& the Shahed-490 an American engine! where is Iran going to get Pratt&Whitney engines for the Shahed-490?

And if the technology for the TV3 has been transferred why wouldn't they just build helicopters around a single & twin engine variants of that engine??

like that political chant we have "Na shargi, Na gharbi,....." but in this case its more like "ham sharghi, ham gharbi,..."
Not that there is anything wrong with that politically but in therms of military you would be creating the same problems Iran's air force currently has by operating and having to service, repair, overhaul, buy &(or) build parts for too many variants of power plants for it's fleet which means they can NOT properly fund and concentrate on reverse engineering one power plant and work towards mass producing one viable engine at home to be used on multiple platforms

If the TF30 (F-14) was the only Power-plant in IRIAF fleet I'm willing to be that Iran would have been mass producing an upgraded version of that engine today! NO country is going to spend billions just to keep just the engines of 20 of it's aircraft airworthy

Ahhhhh another objection:suicide:

Would you please stop nagging for God's sake?

Yes I know that's so sad...

Let's see what we have.

Cobra based projects:

Tiztak
Hesa p-4
Panha-2091
Arsalan
IAIOTofan_1
IAIO Tofan-2
Shahed-216
And the new unnamed army project

Except for toofan 1 and 2, the rest are upgrade kits for our cobra fleet.maybe that new army chopper is a shahed-216 alike with few differences based on army needs?just like toofan 2 that is designed in two ways.one model for IRGC and one for army.

Read it again

''Bro please go study about the deference in engine requirement between
Fixed wing and Rotary/VTOL aircrafts ....''

Read it again
I don't have time to discuss it with you again and again and again.
the engine in helicopters wont provide any vertical lift or any sort of lift unlike Fixed wings aircraft.
you made a mistake then accept it not try to make the water muddy by useless and old techniques
like Sophistry.

They want to do it now with there 216 project
But the older tv3 (the version that we have )is an awful engine

TF-30 is also a BS engine .

Tiztak & Arsalan I have never heard of! I have heard of Zafar light attack helicopter...

Unnamed army project??? That's just the Shahed-216 that looks a lot like the Chinese Z-10 without a landing gear!

Except for the location of it's wing and other minor differences, Iran's Shahed-129 also looks a lot like the Chinese CH-4B UAV

Bro, I didn't come up with those engines! O wait, maybe you can't read farsi! sorry...
So if you were able to read the specs it specifies what type of engine each of those helo's are to be equipped with no fortune telling required it's their own specs

All operate variants for the TV-3 and many of them are flying in Syria today so sorry NO!

My TF30 was just an example the fact that the TF30 is not a good engine is besides the point!
and plus that's why I put an upgraded version of the TF30...
TF30 is an extremely complex engine even more so then the F110 and if Iran was able to produce such a complex engine they could have easily produce an engine comparable to the F110

the engine does provide vertical lift for helicopter .

The rotor and all of those transmission parts are there to transmit the power of engine to air molecules (ie lift)

And in turn transmitting the portion of rotor's stress indirectly to the engine

Hesa p-4, Panha-2091, IAIOTofan_1, IAIO Tofan-2 are all the same helicopter with different upgrades...

Yes there all the same shit and that's SO sad

nonsense the main rotor is to provide the lift and engine is there only to rotate it, and no sane engineer transmit
the stress of the moving part directly to engine. well maybe only in ww2 airplane engines they did that but its ages since they did such things.

Stop it shahryar , it's enough man . you're walking on everyone's nerve here .

is your profile hacked by @New ? seriously ....

Man we all are here merely for Iran . no other sane mind spends time following military developments and "hers bokhore bekhateresh" . only nationalism drives such a behavior .

we know what you're saying , but you better hear other people too brother .

@Shahryar Hedayati read my 2nd post too :D

Sorry but , change in location of wings means change in structure of air fram , change in fuel tank , change in control system and ....

so much change for just " minor differences"
