Just by closing eyes over Lahore won't change reality. Stats say that half of Pakistani urban population lives in slums and not India's.
And hey, please, don't troll us over poverty at least before completing a proper census which doesn't leave more than 1/3rd of population unaccounted.

India is world's cheapest country to live in alongwith currency de appreciation which further lowers nominal GDP per capita.
If in Europe, you can buy one thing with a coin, you.can have 4-5 in India. So, judgement on living standards in India in nominal terms isn't fair.
Okay, you don't wanna take only money in account for indicating standard, you can include HDI, IHDI, GHI, FSI, internet penetration, Education Indices (average years of schooling, literacy, University ranking) etc. etc.. That's enough to shut the guys up who call India poor even after being unable to conduct a proper census for counting population since 1980s, can't even calculate poverty properly.

Frankly it was our misfortune that the British came and integrated us to the Ganges and Deccan. What happened, happened but if you think India or your Mumbai is great you got to be kidding me. I would much prefer typical small town in the northern Pakistan then that humongous pile of detritus called Mumbai with it's planet shaming slums that even inspire Hollywood.
Of course India is on many indicators going to be ahead of Pakistan because of it's size - being nearly 7 times larger. But the fact is the numbers living in abject poverty is far greater in India. Leaving asides those cheap pressure groups with agenda like IFPR the reality for India is sobering. Poverty indicators are so easy to distort because it depends where you place the poverty bar. If you used UK's povert threshold 90% of Pakistan would be classed as poverty stricken. However using standard £1.90 as the minimum threshold gives us a easy way to campare poverty across countries - it is not idea but still is better then others. This below is World Banks data which is rather less subject to partiality then some private pressure group or think tank. The fact is India has far larger number of people living on less than $1.90 then Pakistan.
This is a telling statistic. After this does it matter about bright lights,. Bollywood movies, pretty half clad girls swaaying their ample hips driving fancy cars. The flip side is Mumbai uis huge cesspit of defecation, detritus and people swimming in ocean of abject poverty. Please apply the % on 1.25 billion population of India to see the staggering figures.
It does not stop there, India has epic (no pun intended) numbers of people in slavery. Pakistan is also afflicted but the differance is India wins the gold medal for slavery. Pakistan on the other hand by capita fares lot better. So @EpiiC you can have your Mumbai along with it's epic poverty and slavery. I will stick with plain, simple Pakistan.

I would though say Pakistan needs to fix it's education system although in KPK some great things are being done.
