India's turn to become 'factory of the world': Chinese media

As far as quality goes, some Indian brands like Micromax are complete crap, while others like Intex are much better.

IMO, India has the industrial capacity as well the human resource to increase production many times over.

But no country can replace China's capacity seeing that they have already began completely automated mass manufacturing, negating the need for human workers even on the assembly line.
Latest YU branded phones(subsidiary of micromax) are really good man

I don't approve it :blah:
Angry brother :D, don't worry we can transfer some production facilities to Bangladesh later:pleasantry:

You're way off the mark buddy! Automation only shortens manufacturing and assembly time, not the costs. The expense of running an automated robot machine is far more than the cost of labor to do the same job!

and automation suits developed countries not countries like ours where manpower available in abundance
It may be counter productive for a country like china(I might be wrong here) where millions of people are indulge in blue collar jobs and their livelihood is depend on it.

Electronics Giant Foxconn Has Big Plans for India

NEW DELHI— Foxconn became the latest global giant to declare its intention to tap into India’s budding manufacturing potential.

The company is looking for manufacturing sites in India. So far it hasn’t been able to settle on any in particular, Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou told a news conference in New Delhi.

“India is a big, big country. Too many places, too many states, too many cities. The choice is difficult,” he said.

Foxconn is the world’s largest contract electronics manufacturer by revenue. The Taiwanese company—known officially as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co.—is looking to tap India’s massive labor pool and has big ambitions for its Indian investments. It has long-term plans for Asia’s third-largest economy and hopes to do more in India than simply assemble smartphones and laptops. “We want to bring the whole supply chain here,” Mr. Gou said.

Analysts say Foxconn is looking to diversify its global network of factories as the company faces more competition and rising wages in China, where it has most of its manufacturing operations.

I haven't used YU so I have no idea about it. Their SoC choices seem to be in the right track though.

Any industry that focuses on mass-production will save money by producing more goods in the same time while maintaining conformity.
More goods + better quality - Employee benefits = More profit

Hardware is very good for that price point even better than competition, built quality is also not bad but best part is operating system choice ie cyanogenmod

Cyanogen isn't that big of a deal. They were aligned with OnePlus and then ran off without providing the long-term support they promised. They've been getting a lot of negative attention because they bactracked on open-source policies.

Micromax is also good & yes automation will be one of the key problems we will face while trying to provide all our people with employment

I think our first aim should be Make For India...

Both make for India & world should be our aim

Lollipop updates are from OnePlus teams, not CM.

You get what you pay for. Chinese businessman were smart enough to realize there's a market of low quality fake iPhone buyers.

Better products will be pricier, and those with money will go for renowned international brands anyway. You Indians have to find a niche for yourself, and that's what the Chinese did with their fake products - target people who don't have the money to buy the real stuff.
go for some Chinese submarines, they know about a low quality market named bangladesh........buy some mings or yaun class......:blah:

Check again:D
You are taking about oxygen os, man that is like cyanogenmod minus all its goodies
Btw installing oxygen os on one plus one is real pain in ***:partay:, I did it once and revert back in next day :agree:

I already know Intex is an Indian brand that is why I compared them both. But I guess kids nowadays just love to jump up and down before even reading.

Being no. 1 in India is not a quality statement of any kind. If anything, it just means it is cheap enough for more people to afford.

Regarding the underlined part:
If you weren't a moron, you'd have realized that both Intex and Micromax are just brand names for devices manufactured in China.
micromax has started manufacturing phones in india itself since end of 2013 at Rudraprayag facility in Uttarakhand:coffee: and micromax is an Indian mobile giant that competes with world famous and more powerful mobile companies worldwide
Microsoft is the No 3 phone maker in the world, Micromax No 10 - IBNLive
do u have anything in your country that can take on samsung, asus, LG, apple, nokia, microsoft, and etc???
