Reproduction is not stopped in India like they do in China, but social awareness programs and subsidies are provided for less children families, the state dont hit you with a hammer like they do in China, Democracy has its advantages and disadvantages

No, one of the best things the CPC did was stop the outrageous population growth. It stopped over 400 million extra births. We are having problems looking after 1.3 billion people, I can't imagine what it would look like to have another 400 million people.
There is not enough room. India is way worse, most Indian women have like 10 children. Overpopulation is the biggest problem the world faces.

Don't get me wrong but I pray Muslim Pakistan's population is much higher, by at least a few more hundreds of millions of people. For now I'll stick with the government's official figures of 183 million people.

India has controlled population growth very well. Compare it with some nearby nations. In 1947 Pakistan`s population was 3.5 crore, now 20 crore. With growth rate similar to Pakistan or Saudi Arabia , India's population would have been 200crore by now.

India and China are world's oldest and largest civilizations. Their population is very reasonable.
