Sir you completely misunderstood the use and advantage of having long endurance SSBN situated nearer to SCS and Pacific rather than based on Indian coasts.

Offence is the best defense.

The future enemy if comes from EAST through sea lanes, have to tackle A&N first, and if we want to bring war to their coast we need to cut down the distance to send these SSBNs. What would you prefer Indian Coast-SCS or A&N- SCS, which is shorter distance. And in case of war, don't you think we should rather have infrastructure at A&N too.

SSBNs are not useless and they just don't caryy nuclear missiles, SSNs can carry them too, SSBN are those which run on nuclear energy, not those
fire nuclear missiles.

SSBN carry nuke missiles for deterrent purposes with torpedoes for own protection. We need hunter killers there. SSN,SSGN,SSBN run on nuclear fuel. SSBN is parked at place from where it can strike at enemy heart. In china case it's east coast.

How many SSN, SSBN etc do you have which can or are allowed to fire nuke tipped ballistic or cruise missiles to be placed at ANC.

we should operate maritime recon aircrafts like P-8I..it will screen any ships/subs in that region.it'll curb Chinese activities significantly..though China isn't very active in that region and they barely send few subs to patrol far seas..but it'll keep tab on Coco islands.

we should operate maritime recon aircrafts like P-8I..it will screen any ships/subs in that region.it'll curb Chinese activities significantly..though China isn't very active in that region and they barely send few subs to patrol far seas..but it'll keep tab on Coco islands.

Did you guys know that Chinese tourists are not allowed in Andaman and Nicobar? I went there a few months ago and found out that they screen foreigners at the airport...

Nah! You just need a Permit but citizens of Pakistan, Bangladesh, China and Myanmar can get the permit only with approval of the Ministry of Home Affairs while citizens of other countries don't need MHA's approval..........they can get it from foreign mission, DC's Office....

I don't see why not, the airbase is being expanding all the time and capabilities being augmented. We have seen MKIs deployed at ANC so seeing Super MKIs there at some point in the future is no real jump, is it? But of course it depends on ANC's requirements, exisiting demands on the fleet, other commitments, threat perception etc



+ it is operated by the IN ie ATC, ground support etc are handled by IN personnel.

I would be curious too. At this point, I could count 6 Scorpenes, 6 new submarines bigger than Scorpenes, 1 SSN and total 4 SSBNs - total of 17. (not to mention the old ones around 14 of them).
