India and Pakistan are entangled in a security dilemma which is leading to a costly and perilous arms race in the region.

With the support of the global superpowers, India is set to be made a member of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) despite the serious threats and risks w.r.t. their nuclear technology.

Pakistan, however, continues to be barred from gaining NSG membership, despite the relatively more secure set-up.

Let them do it. It would further widen a gap that is already very wide. Pakistan will find tons of ways of advancing its nuclear reactors for civilian and military use.

finally India will get its due as a deserving member of NSG. Thankfully only deserving members will be in that group. This is too important to be left as an open house.

it really does help, when the west is doing the positive discrimination on your behalf. Ignoring all protocols and fair play to others. As they see you as a big problem unable to progress by yourself.

Pipe down, after the year you have had with China they will suddenly approve your membership?

Best you file this with

"F-16 shot down" and "India offered F-35".....

cina trying to stop India is like UK trying to stop france. In the end whole world is annoyed by China's attitude. Itself an irrelevant country trying to become even more irrelevant through such antics.

The links to NK, uranium smuggling and couple of cyber attacks into Nuclear Facility; it doesn't makes sense nor might be allowed to NSG like that. If India still makes it, I see no reason keeping ISIS or Black Water out of same group.

Wow what delusional creatures. China is irrelevant? U must be high on cowdung. Its typical how indians behave delusional and arrogant and in the end get embarrassed. From 27/2 to covid gang rape, indians got smacked in the face and got that arrogance shoved up their ugly rear but never learn or feel it lolz. A true example of thick skinned and shameless idiots.

Be that so, they still hold a veto. You may prefer the world to be flat, but it is not. You cannot change facts, even if your media makes you think you can.....

you become politically irrelevant when you throw tantrums. For 20 years between first and second world war both the allies and axis 'ignored' soviet union. When the actual war broke out, both sides ran to court stalin and get him on their side. You ignore the big players at the cost of your relevance

the big dude, is the big dude whether you like it or not

And the 'Big dude' is not India, so no one is going to run around courting anyone for the sake of India.

The US courtship of India is itself because of China. Without the US-China competition, India is irrelevant in these geo-political games. India's own relevance is primarily as a bazaar for the world - that's it.

It’s that same mentality of self imposed superiority complex that caused them to become a British Colony, without properly seeing what their real worth is.

India is the type that goes to the gym one day and comes out thinking it’s jacked, or that school kid other students keep with them to do their work while he thinks he’s one of the big boys but he’s only a bag holder.

Every country in the world is running around courting India. Every country in the world supports India's entry into Security Council and the NSG. This includes Pak on UNSC.

The only link to NK was when their hackers tried to get info from an Indian Nuclear Power plant. They last studied in India regarding Nuclear physics was back in 2004-05 time period.
Smuggling of Uranium by criminal gangs has nothing to do with NSG membership. Educated people should know better. Incase NSG membership will make India prone to punishment on cases like that. Secondly India has an matured industry and can make and design reactors upto 500MW including FBR. Our commercial Thorium reactors are ready which required decades of research. We have industry which can supply materials to many parts of the world's. It's in the world's best interest, India gets NSG membership so it's companies and it's ambit are closely watched and audited. Ofcouurse without giving the N weapons.
