Many Indias disregard Chinese achievements because East Asians are only good enough to be servants in their caste system. They want the North East as part of India that is a source of their Dalit cheap labor. There is no way many Indians would accept that China is ahead of India on anything. As to Indians, Chinese are an inferior race. That is how Indians treat all East Asians, not just Chinese. To not be prejudiced is an exception, not a norm, for Indians.
I have been to both China and India and have seen the stark differences between both countries in infra, industrial development, sophistication of public services facilities. There is nothing in India even remotely comparable to Shenzhen, Shanghai or Beijing, Indian cities at their best are at least twenty years behind China in modernism, if that.
India has been trying to get a bullet train for twenty years now, with little progress (even with the Japanese helping them). Forget Maglev. Indians cannot even dream of how large the Chinese Bullet train network is, they will not be able to duplicate it in the next two decades.

We as Bangladeshis have plenty of reasons to look down on most of India (except select areas in Mumbai and Bangalore where population is low), most Chinese would too. But we don't because as a human being you should have pity for those who suffer more than you. Hubris is never a good quality. The reason Indians suffer is because of a f*cked up fascist govt. led by Modi, not because of their own faults. Under Modi, everything is going downhill in India, which is what Indian media says, not me.
Wages are lower in India than Bangladesh, everything is cheaper as a result. Bangladeshis go shopping in India all the time, we are the largest population of tourists to their country. We know what India and Indians are. No use lying to us.
