India's Ayni Military base in Tajikistan is Russia-Locked

T-50 is a prototype , how was it offered to India instead of final product FGFA ? :azn: Just answer me that ...

T-50 is not a Prototype but a project under full designation PAK FA(Prospective Airborne Complex of Frontline Aviation)
Its Prototypes have been.

T-50-1/51
T-50-2/52
T-50-3/53

The 5th Gen Fighter program was Russian and was offered to Indian on Joint Venture Basis with Both countries sharing the costs of the Project and supporting each other on the technical front.

The FGFA/PAK FA still remain T-50 or final designation Su-50 for RuAf and Su-50MKI for IAF as is that case with Su30 and Su30MKI.

Is it that hard to understand... what has been asked of you is that since the allies of India... which according to you thinks Pakistan as its best strategic partner in south Asia--- however doesn't sell any weapon to it and spits on the face of someone who says otherwise.... offers its most advanced technology in combat jets to India... why hasn't China offered the same to you.

Be It J-10A, J-11A, J-11B, J-8, JH-7, J-20, J-30, FH-60, J-16, J-15, J-18, J-19, J-21 and so on.... why has it only offered the lowest in the rank JF-17.

Stop cheering for RD-93 engines all the time, actually IMO that was a good decision by the Russians with (maybe) tacit approval from the Indians, the reason for it being that a country cannot stop another country's production of aircraft by not providing the engines for it, PAF would have got the engines for JF-17 some way or the other, if not from the Russians than maybe another country, but engine could have never stopped the production of JF-17, the max it could have made a difference is delaying the project. The fact is that that RD-93 is a very low power engine providing low thrust, no one wants it anymore, just what u said in ur earlier post that RD-93 are gonna replaced with another engines, if they were good than why change it?? Even the mig-29 upgrade for Indian air force will be having a more better version of it in RD-33 series 3. So what the Russians did is to somewhat delay the JF-17 project as well as to provide a less capable engine for it.
You try to excuse for your inability to persuade Russia stop selling engines to Pakistan. Russia always love money, why not refuse a good business . One will never put all eggs in one basket, so as national interest. Enough for these kind of self deception BS statement.

The Sukhoi PAK FA (Russian: Сухой ПАК ФА, Russian: Перспективный авиационный комплекс фронтовой авиации, Perspektivny aviatsionny kompleks frontovoy aviatsii, literally "Prospective Airborne Complex of Frontline Aviation") is a twin-engine jet fighter being developed by Sukhoi for the Russian Air Force. The Sukhoi T-50 is the prototype for PAK FA.[15] The PAK FA is one of only a handful of stealth jet programs globally.[16]

The T-50 prototype performed its first flight 29 January 2010.[3][19] By 31 August 2010, it had made 17 flights and by mid-November, 40 in total. The second T-50 was to start its flight test by the end of 2010, but this was delayed until March 2011.[20][21][22][23][24]

Do not reveal your ignorance again and again ! :azn: Yeah doesn't sell any weapon to India's adversaries and yet China was the largest importer of Russian weapons before becoming self reliant ... Spit in his face for he sold RD-93 to Pakistan indirectly + a couple of other weapons with Moscow's silent nod such IL-76

China has offered the best it has in operational service ... They offered the J10 in 2007 during president's visit ... They cant sell prototypes like you dream of buying from Russia  ... Lowest in the ranks ? Actually , JF17 can easily fulfill the roles of all the other fighters except J10-11 easily , the rest simply aren't final products but PT's and concepts ... :azn:

because according to the sources provided here, all chinese aircrafts are on soft loans, and pakistans credit history isn't that good. Maybe they will get such offers when their economy comes back on track

What is that most advanced tech means? T 50? I don't think so. It just another Russian trick swindle Indian money.

That's where India contributes, similar to how the SU 30 MKI was transformed, even the T -50 prototype is loaded with advanced features presently.

I meet two kinds of people.... one-smart other stupid... now I have met a third... who in spite of being stupid tries to show how smart he is... and still ends up being stupid.

T in the T-50 stands for Technology demonstrator.
There would be a P while the aircraft nears LSP.. and then there would be an LSP and Finally the Production variant... your point being ?

Russia sold RD-93 to China and not Pakistan.... (not an offensive weapon and not a threat to India in any way whatsoever)
Russia never sold IL-76 Tankers to Pakistan... instead it was Ukraine who sold it.
Russia sold Mi-17/8 choppers ? but rejected the armed version of the same ?

want any more proof ?... He is justified spitting on the faces of People who created false news and media propaganda of non-existent partnership... inspite of the boot liking by Zardari and Keyani on repeated visits to Moscow and all that tail wagging being done in Pakistan.

They never offered J-10 It was Pakistan who showed interests while you fill Wikipedia with usual BS is another thing.... had they offered J-10 like they did with JF-17... PAF would've jumped on it without a doubt.

J-11A in operational service.
J-11B in operational service.

Like wise PAK FA/T-50 still in PT phase when offered to India as JV.

What is that most advanced tech means? T 50? I don't think so. It just another Russian trick swindle Indian money.

You should be more bothered about Hu Jintao's relatives and the Floating Casino than T-50.
Too much for the Hard earned Chinese money.

Today , I have met a fan boy who despite clear proof , tries to twist words to suit his argument however what the little kid doesn't know is that basically he's ridiculing himself ! It is a fact that the prototype for PAK-FA is called T-50 and it isn't a project in itself ... And if you wanted to get a technology demonstrator not even a prototype which comes after , it only makes things worse for you here

Yes , are you telling me that China isn't your enemy or the Kremlin didn't know where the RD-93 was eventually going to end ? :azn: ... Not our fault that Kremlin wants a closer relation with Pakistan so that recently it has signed a defense accord and wants projects in the country ... So , blame Putin for tail wagging , we didn't go to Moscow !

Moscow: Pakistan is Russia’s “most important” partner in South Asia and in the Islamic world, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said Monday during a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart in St Petersburg.

Russia no longer intends to please India by refusing to cooperate militarily with Pakistan – a country that holds serious sway over the situation in Central Asia and Afghanistan.

According to reports citing Pakistani military sources, Russia has agreed to a military accord with Pakistan, though of which nature it is not yet clear. Still it is a major success of the détente going on manifest through visits of COAS General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Pakistan. The accords are not only defence related; agreements concerning Steels Mills, Railways, thermal power plants, import of electricity whereby Russia would be according help have been inked during FM Lavrov’s meetings with Pakistani officials.

Pakistan buys weapons from Russia? This is news to me! Definition of a weapon:

Noun:
A thing designed or used for inflicting bodily harm or physical damage.

So tell me can IL-78 AARs, UNARMED Mil-17s (which India got armed btw) and antiquated engines we classed as WEAPON sales? I think not. As it stands Russia has not sold Pakistan a weapon system as of yet. This may change in the future but at a time when Russia has partnered with India to develop 5thgen fighters as well as long range hypersonic cruise missiles, stealth frigates, SSNs etc I don't think you can claim Pakistan has a particularly favourable relationship with Russia especially not one that rivals India's. to say anything else is absurd bordering on stupidity.

Citing defense sources, the offer was reported in the Urdu press here over the weekend.
However, Usman Shabbir of the Pakistan Military Consortium think tank, said "the initial deal will be for at least two squadrons [at least 32 aircraft] and will be financed by China via a soft, long-term loan."

Nowhere it says about delivery date of 2014/15.

English boy.. you need that.

I don't think I have to quote this again... unless and until you are a perfect moron or exceed the description.

Meanwhile the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin spitting on their respective faces.

Russia rules out arms sale to Pakistan

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin Sunday ruled out any arms sales to Pakistan and stressed that unlike other countries, Russia never created problems for India.

“We are always cooperating with India to ensure safety of the region. We never created trouble for India in the region as compared to other countries,” he told reporters here.

Rogozin was responding to a question on whether Russia was planning to expand military relations with Pakistan.(this one's for the uneducated folks)

“That’s our political advantage as a friend of India,” he said. “If someone says otherwise, spit in his face,” he replied when asked whether Russia was planning to sell arms to Pakistan.

“We don’t do military business with your enemies. We don’t transfer any arms to them,” he said.

Early this month, Pakistan’s Army chief Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani visited Russia, fuelling speculation about a possible arms sale by Russia to Pakistan.

There were also speculations that the Russian defence minister deferred his visit to India, earlier scheduled for Oct 4 and finally held Oct 10, to meet Pakistan’s army chief, an impression that has been since rejected by Moscow.

There were some reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin was planning to visit Pakistan this month, but cancelled the visit due to Indian sensitivities.

Russia won't arm India's enemies: Dy PM Rogozin

Isn't this thread about India's Ayni Military base in Tajikistan.

Then why are we discussing fighter sales to a shitty state to our West here .....:hitwall:

I dont think Ayani base will be under our sole control. Russians too will station thegir fighters there, it seems.

This would be a tremendous victory for Indian diplomats, if they can make this happen.

On another note, why not operate a joint base with Russia? With the similarity in equipment, it would be a win-win situation for both, and a good cost cutting measure.

We could both base flankers there, and have common maintenance, spare and overhaul facilities. Train with each other without the incurring the huge costs we usually bear for foreign exercises. And innumerable other strategic and operational benefits.

This is another of those "Wet Dream 101" series. All alliances are based on the basic need of irreplaceable necessacity. What can India offer to Russia which Russia cannot have on its own? Once a viable answer to this question has been found, then all theories of alliance can be debated.

Money, lots and LOTS of money!
